Can payday loan companies take money out of my check if payday loans are illegal in my state?

hey, all. Did anyone see the democrat debates the other night? I'm glad it was civil, but Hillary really wouldn't stop about her health care plan. I totally agree that our current health care system sucks, but I'm not sure about universal health care. Maybe we should really look at how it's working out for those other countries that already have it, and see what problems they have before jumping in ourselves. Like in England...the parliament there had to make a mandate that people would wait no more than 4 hours to see a doctor in the hospital. So, instead, they do this "patient-stacking".

ameriloan is calling, calling, calling and said they will keep calling. I told them to go ahead and do what they have to do. That's when they start getting nasty and talking junk. I told them I would send a cease and desist letter and she said that you can't send me anything because we don't have an address. I said whateveeerrrr!!!! How can I stop them from calling me at work!! :shock: :evil:

Everything comes due for me tomorrow and Saturday. I talked to my storefronts and they were actually rather easy since I was a long time customer and likely had been paying their salary. One of them went over the pro's and con's of the 4-payment program that they offer, contrasting it with allowing the check to bounce and working out payments on my own. It got me to thinking (that and reading many, many posts on this site) that maybe it would be better to utilize a debt consolidation company to help handle these pdl's.

My husband was served with a summons on 2/26/08 we have no clue what to do can you help lead us in the right path? It is from a hospital for medical bills.

Hello, Most of the accounts on my credit report are with collection agencies. Can someone please tell me what is the first step I will need to do to get this off my credit? Most are from doctor bills, can the amount I owe on them be lowered or settled for a lower cost with the collection agency? Please help

To tell the truth I found this site by searching for MCA because I felt that she was helping me to find the strength to open another bank account. I'll try to be as brief as possible with my story.... In December, 1999 my husband and I were notified by our bank that our checking acct. was being closed. Don't remember the exact wording but we had outstanding nsf chgs. totaling about $750.

I see listed on my credit report a BofA charge off, an FIA CSNA late 120+ and a "Portfolio" collection. Last I knew I owed MBNA. Why has it been split up now into the three and how do I verify what is what - how do I contact these three agencies? I don't know what "Portfolio" is nor how to contact FIA CSNA. I understand that FIA CSNA collects for MBNA/BofA but what is Portfolio? Why the Three now?

i posted several weeks ago about my loan situation. I have 9 payday loans and i live in North Carolina. I was trying to get out from under them but couldn't. Guess what? this past week-end my car was broken into and checkbook and everything was stolen. I had to close my bank account and open a new one....what do i do now?
