Hello, I have to say that it has taken a bit of time for me to get the courage up to actually post my pdl information. This is embarrassing but I need help and am determined to break away from these leeches. First off, I do live in California and have many loans, both internet and storefront. Can anyone tell me what I should do in this case when I just received papers to go to small claims. It was a credit card debt due to identity theft which was explained to the creditor but they still sold the account to collections. Now i am being sued by a local attorney. What's the worse that can happen? I don't own a property or get paid W2. I usually get paid under the table? Any help would be great!

Not sure if this is the right place for this question but here goes: I am just trying to figure out how to pay off the last 2 credit cards that I have. I have read different opinions and am just wondering what everyone else thinks. Should I pay off my lowest debt off first (this debt is in collections and is not accuring interest) or should I concentrate on my big debt that is at 18% interest and with orginal creditor. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm in a small bind and my initial reading tells me that you guys have all been through the same things I'm going through, so hopefully I can get some advice. I don't have as much debt as some, but I see that I am heading for a tough time, so I want to try and solve this ASAP. Here are my loans: 1. MyCashNow (internet) - borrowed $500, have paid $438 in fees alone, only $50 towards principle. 2. 1800899Cash.com (internet) - borrowed $300, have paid $45 in fees, none towards principle. 3.

When I was 18 I had a credit card, I stopped paying and the card went to collection and I didn't hear from anyone. Last year, when I was 29 I have my credit pulled and find out that in 2005 the collection agency received a judgment against me - I knew nothing about it because I had moved. Obviously the statutes of limitation were over when they filed judgment, what do I do to get the judgment off my report? The credit card is no longer on the report. I never received a summons and knew nothing about the collector.

What are the negative aspects of entering a program under a lawyer and letting them do debt validation with your credit cards

These people have no problem in calling someone at 8 am on Sunday morning. They have been reported to the Attorney General for harassment. All this for a disputed late payment of $5.00. I would hate to owe a lot of money.
