Hi, I have been reading this site for a few weeks, and finally got the courage to post. I have gotten into the same mess as a lot of you here, and I need help to get out. This is what I have right now. My Cash Now- origina1 $400, have paid back $591.15, they say I still owe $292 Centurion- original $300, have paid back $450 in fees, still owe the original $300 SSM- original $200, have paid back $300, still owe the original $200 Magnum Z- original $300, have paid back $180 in fees JD Marketing - original $300, have paid back $180 in fees.

A collection agency is suing me and my lawyer is suing them back. It hasn't gone to pre-trial yet but my lawyer and the lawyer for the CA have been trading paperwork back and forth. Today I got a voice mail from my attorney saying that the CA/lawyer has a desire to settle. What do you think this means? Does the lawyer think they can't win full out so they think I will be stupid enough to just roll over and pay something?

I am back again. I have successfully closed my bank account and have talked to my payroll person about my pdl’s. She said if I could provide the letters for revoking their Right to go in my bank account it would be helpful. However, I can’t get my letters done because I am still not clear on which of my pdls are legal in Michigan and the exact amount I owe on each. I love the way you walked Egypt though her predicament and am hoping for the same.

MY PREVIOUS POST W/UPDATES I had 4 online PDL's, I am a resident of New York and came across this site trying to find info on one of the lenders. With the advice from so many of you I first closed my bank account to stop them from continuing to rob me. I then sent the wage assignment revoke letter to Payday2go because they where the first to contact me with the BS after not being able to get into my account.

I'm getting out from under the PDLS, which are illegal in Maryland. Anyhow, I received another call from United Cash Loans; I explained that they were illegal in Maryland and that I could give him the phone # for the Maryland Commissioner of Financial Regulation, the office I'm working with on my PDL's. He said he didn't want it and when I asked for HIS address/phone number, he wouldn't give me anything. He said that they were in Oklahoma and Maryland laws didn't apply. I'd done a check on THIS site and found an address for United Cash Loans in New York.

I see the board is practically drowning in trolls & negative comments. I have been gone for quite a while and do miss some of my few remaining friends here. I will not have anything further to do with this forum until it is back on track like it was at one time.If admin feels it is necessary to remove my mod status,then please do so. I hope to come back if the true purpose of this forum is brought back to the front where it belongs.

O Heavens! I found that my master card has been stolen from my purse when I had gone to a party. Someone took out $500 from it :cry: . I found it out when I saw the billing statement. What shall I do now? What shall I do to get out of this whole thing? I am planning to close the account. What else should I do? Any help appreciated

Someone mentioned IP addresses in one of the posts. Is is possible for anyone posting in this forum to be identified through his/her computer's IP address? Anyone in the know, please advise.

I hope you guys can give me some advise. I lost my job many years ago and was forced to leave the country (my work visa became automatically expired). I did not have the financial means and the time to pay my open credit cards in full. In spite of a reduced income I tried to pay them off from abroad for the next 12 months, until I am no longer able to financially afford it. Now, I've returned to the same state with a new job. Recently I started to receive collection letters for some of them (how did they even know where I am?).

My husband and I are wanting to buy his mothers home. She is 68 and now lives with her daughter due to health issues. In looking in to buying the home, we've discovered some issues. She has a lien on her home due to back taxes owed and a lien on her home due to credit card debt. She has no income except for her SS benefits; therefore no way to settle these debts. We planned on purchasing the home for what is owed on it which is around $40,000. The credit card debt she owes is around $45,000. The creditors are stating they will settle for $27,000.
