BIG-INT is a fraudulent company, and they are fishing for your information. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!! How do I know this? These folks FRAUDULENTLY created a dedicated server under my name and have been using it for the last two weeks to send out spam and fish for people's information. It's hard to prosecute folks who are located outside of the US and probably in India or Africa. BE AWARE AND HANG UP THE PHONE IF THEY CALL!!!

Why not just have a new person's first 10 posts be approved by a moderator before they're allowed to post ? Like they do at creditboards.com.

I have been getting harassing phone calls from Bennett Deloney law offices(debt collectors) for a couple months now. I answered the phone today and they asked for me, I said this is her. I was told there were some outstanding checks in their office that need to be paid now or they will go to the next step. I am wondering what legally they can do since this is a collection agency. I have gone on the website and it says they do litigation for companies. I want to pay them but I do not have the full amount of money they want.

Since I have been fortunate to find this board, I have gained a wealth of information. Since I've been home all week with the dreaded flu, I have had plenty of time to go over the pages and pages of posts from other folks. It saddens me to see how many of us have fallen victim to these predatory lenders and I am h..l bent on doing something to try and stop them, state by state, one by one, if necessary, or die trying. Many of the posts are heartwrenching but in the end everyone is or has been taking back control of their life and their money.

I don't understand the difference between debt settlement companies and the debt consolidation company. Does the money going into a fund pay settlement companies before they contact creditors therefore making me way behind in my payments and does the consolidation start issuing money in my behalf as soon as I send it?

Should i settle with the collection companies directly or is it better to go through debt consolidation, esp if i have several accounts in default, please advise drowning hard

I received a letter from 'The Offices Of Larry Roach'. In the letter, it states they are collecting for 'Cach' with yet another address. I know who the original debt belongs to, BUT, who does this debt belong to now? It's so frustrating trying to figure out who is actually collecting for whom anymore. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks. :))

I noticed a comment in one of the posts that if I were to contact LVNV it would restart the clock on the SOL. Is this true also if I request a confirmation of debt to determine if their claim is legitimate or not?

It is so refreshing to receive a donation from a co-member just before the Valentine's day. Hope you all enjoyed a lot! I wanted to thank you all for remembering me so deeply. When I went to my homepage today, I got lots and lots of messages from Guests, members and all. People shared problems, posted information and asked for solutions there. However, the name that I must mention is 'Tania'. She has written me many many messages and here is one written by her for me.

Does anyone know if they are out of business?
