I'm in Va. I have a total of 5 store front loans totaling 2,300.00. My credit is terrible. Is there any way of consolidating these loans any where. I have been rolling over these loans twice per month since Nov. I just cant take it any more I am paying over 600.00 per month in interest only. I would love to pay this plus maybe another 200.00 per month towards paying these off.

I got a message today from Check-n-Go saying they had an exciting offer that will allow me to settle my debt with them?? To make a long story short, I have an installment loan that I defaulted on about half-way through. I defaulted several months ago and surprisingly have heard very little from them. They call maybe once a week and leave a message and thats about it. When I defaulted I owed around $1,200.00. I haven't called them because I have NO extra cash to make any kind of arrangements. I wonder what this offer is?? Anybody else got a call like this?

I hear a lot about people who are or have been on chexsystems. From what I understand the listing falls off of chexsytems after 5 years provided the debt was paid and there was no fraudulent activity involved. What if it has been 5 years the debt wasn't paid and fraud was involved (writing checks on a closed account) I know of someone (not me I swear) who claims to be in this situation but was recently able to open an account and I am curious as to how. Thanks

I recently got enrolled in a debt consolidation program through American Credit Counselors Inc. and it has been about 2 weeks now. One of my credit card companies has been calling me non stop (and even calling the office where I work) because I am late on a payment since they are still working on my consolidation (which they said could take 3-6 weeks). I have tried to refer them to the creditor hot line since they are suppose to handle this, but it has not stopped. They start calling at about 8:15 every morning (weekends included) and usually make their last call around 8:50pm.

so what can i do to get out of my mess with all my overdue bills & pay day loans?

Does anyone have a good contact address for US Bank? An address that can actually deal with a settlement offer. I have an old account with them I am wanting to try and settle, but I have no idea where to send the letter. All ChexSystems says is Cincinnati, OH.

I just received a Dr bill from when I went to the ER and had 3 stitches put in my leg. I have been paying the hospital 25 a month whenever I get a statement I add a check for 25.00 and mail it back.I know it isn't much but it was over 500 and I don't have insurance. Well 3 months later i get another bill from the Dr. for over 800.00!! I almost fainted! He spent maybe 10 mins tops on my leg.Dr's sure do earn a lot.Anyway I am wondering do i call them and make arrangements or try to or just do like I did the hospital and mail them a 25 dollar check too.

i received a coll. letter from one of the favs, NCO for an ATT debt i am checking on to see if its even valid/or mine. its pretty old if so but just don't remember it. one, should i go ahead and send off a dv letter just in case BUT stating that the dv letter in no way validates the debt is mine? or how should i put it to protect myself? also, can they charge interest (quoted 6%) on a debt that does not have judgment? no they have not threatened that yet. is that against the law to charge interest at this point? the original debt they quote is only 88.67. i am in Texas. thanks all

Well I am going to be moving soon again. Finally I am able to get out of the big city for smaller town living. I couldn't be more excited. Better schools and community for my kids. What more could a girl ask for?!

I currently have unsecured debts totaling a little over 20k. I recently was going to go through a divorce, but managed to pull myself back from that precipice and am working on my marriage.
