Anyone hear of this law firm? Got a call from them this morning about my husband. She tried to be very intimidating and implied legal action several times. Direct Quote: "We will pursue this with legal action." She did not offer the typical "This is from a debt collector" or anything, just that this needs to be taken care of immediately. I am just kicking myself that when I answered the phone I didn't turn on my recording device!!!!

Has anyone ever got a judgement against them from an attorney named Michael Kaplan?

I am 40k in debt with 6 credit cards and 2 unsecured loans. Unsure what to do. Was out of work for the 1st 8 months of last year. I pulled out my 401k and money from my car being totaled to stay current with credit cards and loans. Now it starting to catch up with me since I've only been working a new job for 6 months and getting paid half of what I used to. Been talking to debt settlement companies but kind of skeptical. i'm not 30 days late on anything yet, but on the 14th I will be. What are my options?
