I settled an account in 2007 for over $6,000. I have not received a 1099 yet. Do you think I should wait a few more days? Do not all creditors send out a 1099?
This was a charge off account but I settled with the original creditor.
We have been in a debt settlement program since May of 2007 and have settled 2 accounts with 5 to go. I am concerned because we are running out of settlement money and our credit is totally trashed right now. Can you enter into a debt consolidation program if your accounts are in collections and will we be able to get out of our debt settlement agreement?

I live in IL. 1st Nat'l sent a CL that falsely stated a judgment had been awarded against me on an old debt. A consumer rights attorney filed a lawsuit on my behalf and here is the 1st settlement offer from 1st Nat'l:
- They will pay my attorney fees.
- They will cease collections and will clear my credit report of this debt & another debt they claim to own.
First of all - we already went to court on the "other" debt and I won. My attorney was surprised & requested the court docs.
My husband is amazing! I love him and trust his abilities in many areas, but he has made some really bad choices when it comes to credit and spending.
So, we are at the point where we got rid of all credit cards. My entire paycheck went to rent. He had maybe $10 which he had in his checkings, i had $60.00. And so, he uses the $10.00 on donuts and orange juice for me (which was supposed to be a special surprise, because I'm working so hard at getting extra money).
I had a payday loan with ThinkCash.com, which I know is funded by First Bank of Delaware. I recently received a Mastercard offer from the bank to help straighten out my credit. If I provide them with my checking account info, can they debit it for the payday loan?
Does anyone know the websites this company operates under? My wife took out a payday loan from them and when I found out was pretty upset. She kept no records of who she took the loan from but I did find a number on the checking account debit and called and it leads to Westbury Ventures but I can never get through to anyone. I would like to just pay it off and change checking accounts.
A collection agency had posted something on my credit reports, of which I disputed a while ago. It got removed from all 3 bureaus. I didn't hear from this collection agency for a long time and now all of a sudden they are sending me letters again. I'm worried that they are going to repost on my report. Can they do this once it's already been removed?
I have a couple of CA's on me about ancient debts. They are well past SOL (9-10 years old) and off my credit report as far as I know. Should I send a DV letter or would that just open the door for more trouble? It would be a bad idea to settle because then it would show back up on my CR, right? I want them off me.
