My husband pulled his free credit report last night and in going over it today I saw a hard pull from an attorney on in. This pull was back in August 2007. I have never heard from this person or his offices. What would make an lawyers office check his report? This worries me a bit, but in the same respect I haven't heard from the offices and it's been 6 months. Also, why would any company that we do not have an account with at all, make an inquiry? Thanks!

It would seem that the PDL's have taken notice to internet sites such as ours. My wife received a settlement offer (they pay her $250) and part of that settlement offer is a confidentiality agreement that specifically prohibits discussing the settlement on the internet along with the typical, this case is dropped, you cannot sue blah blah blah.

I have a payday loan with NLS cash advance. I have been trying to find a number for them, but have not been able to. I have dealt with a few payday loan companies and this is the first time that my bank account is being debited for the same amount each time. How can I get more information about this company. I have 11 pay day loans. I've never been late and paid the fees(one which raises its annual percentage rate ever pay period) and I try to add more to the pot. 4 of them are u.k. accounts. I tried to talk to some of these paypal accounts. Two skipped one pay period but the others, espcially the U.K.'s one would not listen. I don't want to stiff anybody but I need space between paychecks to pay them off not inclucing my other bill, RENT. Some of the finance charges are three digits and its hard to pay down a $120 fee plus 50 or 150 plus 75.

I received a $200.00 loan in Jan. I would like to know when the first payment is due?

There has been a ton of spam going on in this forum, and there isn't anyone to delete it right now. But PLEASE - Do not respond to these loan offers. They are total scams!!!!! No legit loan business will advertise like this. They will want money upfront, then disappear! Please, just ignore this junk - Or if a MOD sees this, please delete it all!

hi, i just received a packet in the mail rendering judgment against me. i had been threated that asset acceptance was going to take me to court but i thought it was just that, a threat. however, i validated that it actually went to the court system by looking the case number up on the court website. this is my question: how do i handle this? supposedly they sent me a summons to court, which i swear up and down that i did not receive--i would remember having to go down to the post office and signing for it. the s.o.l. has been long over with (or so i thought).

Don't waste our time with this "validate our debt which we know we owe stuff." All this is going to get you is a quick lawsuit and summary judgment. Do you not think the judge will not ask you, "do you owe this debt?" Go ahead, perjure yourself and end up in jail. Life would be much easier if you would just pay up.
