Can I legally ask someone who is trying to collect money from me for the following as debt validation? -Copies of original signed receipts for credit purchases to prove I made the transaction -Video tapes from the store or atm showing me entering my PIN # to prove I made the transaction

Just looking for some good news to keep up the spirits. How many people have been successful in their fight w/ these internet pay day loans? Who has gotten a paid in full for paying illegal rollover fee's and "intrest"? TIA!

I have gotten at least partial validation, namely a copy of 2 NSF checks written in 2002. Problem is, I STILL don't recognize it, and am not even sure if that is my signature! Heck, the checks don't even have that little thing on it where the cashier checks your ID and writes it on the check!!! Can I demand to see these 2 checks and examine them? What I don't get is that these were done in 2002, I did not move until 2005, so why did I not hear a peep about them until now?? The bank is no help, they don't have the records any longer. Should I file id theft?

My original creditor charged off the debt to this ca and a lady called today and left a message stating that she had the file on her desk,along with my ss # and case #.Should i send a c & d letter?And then a validation letter? I'm lost.

I have a debt consolidation company working on my behalf but one company has sent me a letter of intent to sue and garnish my wages. I thought that paying someone to handle this would stop this kind of action?

Well a CA tracked me down for the defaulted student loan..wow what a rude person! I called the student loan place but they said I have to deal with who holds the loan. My question is do student loan CA's have to abide by the laws on debt collecting both federal and state? If I hadn't of just seen these things on my credit report he would have taken me by total surprise....barely identified himself and said, "You have defaulted on these loans. You owe $3000+, are you going to pay or are you refusing to pay the federal government.

I have managed to put myself into a huge debt hole. I can no longer keep up with the payments as they come due. So far the only thing I have been late on is my mortgage. Where do I start to negotiate with the credit card companies? Will they work with me if I haven't had any late payments? Should I close the accounts before negotiating? Any help will be appreciated.
