Health Insurance

18 years 1 month ago
I have a question and I am not sure if I am posting it in the right place but I know my fellow debtcc members always have good advice so I am giving it a shot. Because we are in serious financial trouble right now, I have cut down almost everything! My employer offers health insurance and it went up this month...BIG TIME! I couldn't afford to put the whole famly on it but my husband insisted I take it for myself since they paid for half. Bottom line-it is too freakin' much! I also don't like hubby not being covered. We don't qualify for anything from the state but the kids do.

hi, new here

18 years 1 month ago
Hi, I'm 21 fixing to be 22 from TN and have been in a downward spiral with pdl's and credit debt for the past three years. I came across this website last night after having a round with GFS. I called them yesterday to let them know my checking account was closed and to set up payment arrangements and the guy was a jerk about it so I decide to check into their so called business and it lead me here(THANK GOD). I have had loans with them in the past and have always paid on time but had to close my check account due pdl's on Jan 1, 2008.

Should I answer the creditor questionaire or go to court

18 years 1 month ago
The creditor has a judgement agaist me. If I wanted to avoid going to court I can answer all their questions that they sent me. I'm hesitent to answer them since it's a lot of personal stuff. Like bank info. and so on.

Debt validation not responded to. What can i do?

18 years 1 month ago
Here is the problem. In early December I received a summons to appear in court for a debt from a CA at the end of January. I sent the CA a debt validation letter and I haven't received a response. What can I do or say about this in court to protect myself from having a judgment against me?

Money for us, could this really happen

18 years 1 month ago
Quote: Bloomberg News, citing people who insisted on anonymity, reported that the White House is likely to propose an $800 tax rebate for individuals, a $1,600 rebate for households and investment incentives for businesses. So how many of you think this will really happen, this would be so nice, I could really use it right about now. With the price of gas and fuel right now.

Problems with the site

18 years 1 month ago
Gosh I posed a question, received an e-mail saying it had been answered after I was flashed a message that I had been banned from the site? I sent off a couple of e-mails as to why, then signed up *again*, but I could not find where the answer was? When I asked, I got this *debug* message. Am I doing something wrong? Pat M.

How can I get out of this mess I got myself into?

18 years 1 month ago
I live in Iowa and I just found this website. WOW! I am physically sick because of all the payday loans that i have. I am trying to pay them but like many of you all I can afford is the fee. I just had a baby and now I cannot even afford the fees. I have read so many things here. Where do I start first. I have payments due in 2 weeks.

threatening collection call

18 years 1 month ago
My fiance received a call for me today from "United Investigation Bureau" saying that I am going to be going to jail in 2 hours if they could not reach me for electronic fraud. They also said they attempted to contact me at work. I work for a bank, I am terrified that they said something about this to someone when they tried to contact me there. I am so afraid that I am now going to lose my job, because something like 'fraud' could get me fired. I have never done anything illegal in my life, I can't lose my job over this!

Does anyone knows the process that a lender has to go through in order to sue you.
