What is the name of your state? NC I played on Bodog pand lost some money after depositing with my credit card $1111. When I got my statement it showed $1111 of phone/cable charges with a company listed I had never heard of M-TLD.com. I disputed the charges with my credit card as unauthorized and won. Now Bodog is threatening me to send my account to a US collection agency. Bodog does not have my social security number or drivers license. Bodog is illegally accepting credit cards for gambling by changing merchant coding to phone/cable.

I'm still waiting on my court day with NCO, however counting 36 FCRA violations that I am filing suit for, and their previous consent decree granting permanent injunction against such activities. That could also translate to 36 counts of contempt!

Hello I'm not sure how to phrase my question but here goes. I have several charge offs for small credit card accounts on my credit report. I also have other debt that I have to pay such as prosper, cash call etc. My questions is is the damage done with the charge offs? should I pay the other debt first? Does it truely benefit my credit to pay these charge offs, will my credit go up? I am working hard to work on debt (with Dave Ramseys help) but each buck is hard to come by and I want to pay to debt to the right place. Most of the chare offs were JUST charged off like dec 07/jan 08

How do I remove the bankruptcy after the ten years are over?

My mother just passed in November .A few months prior to her death she moved to an apartment due to financial difficulties( taxes and such on house).The month she moved her bank also got sold and switched to a new name.As of now I'm farely certain her mortgage is in default by 6 months. Just a few questions maybe someone here could clear up for me.1 is what now happens to the house as she had no insurance on it in event of her death.

I have a ton of credit card debt and I have been told by two credit counselors that I cannot meet the monthly payments they want. I contacted a company called United Financial Services d/b/a Newport Financial Services and they have an attorney who works with them Jason Hass. Has anyone worked with this company to settle debt. If so, are they legitimate and helpful?

So i fell for this, and lesson learned. I payed for this service through paypal, and soon after my paypal accout was closed. So the payment for this company did not post, BUT I had requested to cancel, because I was not approved for any loans, and that was there guarentee, however they now have procedures to get refund.. I received a nasty email telling me that my echeck had failed and that was a felony and they were turning over to local police. Can they do this for a failed echeck payment? I live in Virginia. I have fallen on bad times over the course of the past 2 yrs and now a credit card company has turned me over to an attorney. I would like to set up a payment plan or possibly even settle the debt all at once but i dont know how to get the best offer for settling this debt now that papers have been filed with the court. I have attempted to set up a payment plan with a collection agency that contacted me on this debt but it was transferred to another collector.
