I just got a letter from 1st Revenue Assurance about a wireless account i had 4-5 years ago. I called for info on the account: dates of the account, if any proof he could fax or mail over. He said all they have is the charge-off date, account # and the amount of the account thats all the company sends them. There was nothing else he could tell me. So i asked him, if i have to pay can we settle for half and that i dont want it on my credit report.

what happens once a debt is referred to an attorney and a summons is served? i spoke with the original creditor who says everything now has to be handled through the attorney.

I had several credit cards and loans that I was not able to pay after loosing my job and having to train for a different line of work. I doubt I will be able to make the money I did in the past but I am now getting to where I can actually start paying on some of my debt but don't know where to start. These bills have been in collection for over 1 year so I will probably never get them payed off but I could at least get started on getting them lower.

what happens when you receive a summons on a debt. i have tried talking to the lawyer because at 1st I was unsure who the orig creditor. i found the original creditor & was told that I would have to handle everything through the lawyer. I have tried to call this lawyer again but can not get a response from them. any advice? The lawyer is representing CACH llc

Hi all, I am working on getting out of debt..due to mistakes of my youth, as well as being naive in my youth and allowing others to use my credit, it is a mess...the amounts I owe arent terribly large but there are alot of little ones. I didn't know where to begin in fixing it up...until now. I checked my bank account balance this morning and saw that I was overdrawn by over $3000!

Many people on this site have reported the IPDLs to the Federal Trade Commision and say all they get back is a general email response. Truth is that the FTC is extremely secretive about their investigations and will not reveal anything about a complaint or how it is being handled for fear of alerting suspected violators of their investigations.

I tried everything I could think of to find out who this is. BBB has no listing for this number, the only reverse look up that says they have it is a pay service and a search in yahoo didn't turn anything up, neither did a look here. I tried calling the number, a system answers with no greeting or name, just a 'type in extention code' or zero for operator...so..I push 0 and wait...and wait..and wait..until I absolutely want to shoot the nasty music they got playing on a loop.

Today I get a phone call from this number (866)366-3410,telling me to call them back about a loan I applied for. I have not applied for any loans in a long time. Does anyone have any info about these people??
