I settled one of my cc in 2006 but have three others that I have yet to settle. All of them have been charged off. My question is - will I have to pay taxes on the charged off amount of all 4 of my cards or just the difference on the settled card? Thanks

I took out a $1000 payday loan and soon after was scammed by a money lender in Canada and had to close my bank account & wasnt able to mk the pmts any longer. The account went to collections and is now in recovery.The woman that is handling my case in recovery says that I have to pay in full by the 15th and there is no way with all of my other bills. I do plan to pif with my taxes but wont get that back until beginning of February since the IRS wont let us file with our last paycheck stub. What action am I up against since this is a CSO lender in Texas? How should I prepare myself?

Recently I have been contacted by a few debt collectors. I know my credit history stinks. I was also contacted by a company called Goggins and Lavintman.. there information they gave me doesnt jive with what I have found on the internet not to mention some bad feedback on them. I've got several outstanding payday loans, that I honestly want to pay back. I'm in NC, the loans are as following with the borrowed amounts One Click Cash 250.00 ameriloan 200.00 Ezpayday cash 400.00 Payday loan yes 350.00 I've sent the ACH and debt revocation letters, and I've filed complaints through the BBB, but I just received a call from Ameriloan, and I'm scared about going to work Monday because I know they are going to call and harrass me. I really want to pay them, but I need to pay them on my own schedule, that's the only way I can pay them.

I have a friend who is going through a credit card struggle.. A collection agency has been hassling her for about a year, collecting for Aspire Visa. The whole thing has been absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, about 2 months ago she got served with papers. She answered the summons, and a few weeks ago got a notice the case was going to be heard at a place called the Center for dispute resolution. What on earth is this??? And why? Why don't they just do it in a normal court setting? It sounds like there is just going to be people sitting down discussing this..Is this a normal thing?

I have a pdl with Geneva Roth. After coming upon this site I have closed my account and revoked my authorization for them to debit my account. I haven't heard anything from them since I have done this. Yesterday I received a message on my phone saying they needed to hear from me by Monday at 3 because their legal team has decided to go forward and bring a legal suit to my employer for the full amount due. Are they full of crap or is this serious? I would talk to them regarding a settlement, but this is the first I've heard from them and I'm definitely not going to do it over the phone.

Has anyone ever heard of this company?? I checked my bank account and found 2 charges from this "thing" 1 for $255 and 1 for $45...I've never had anything from anything resembling close to this!

They require you to come into the bank and open the account. They do not run a credit check and they stopped using Chexsystems. Only downfall is they use Deluxe for their checks.

I too am trying to figure out where MTE Financial is. I applied to CASHNETUSA and that's it. I had $ 300.00 deposited into my account and I don't even have a contract or anything. They took out $ 90.00 but it has no phone number, nothing to reach them. I just want to pay it off and get rid of it, but how if I can't even get any information on this thing. What can I do? Any suggestions, please!!!
