We have received a summons today from the local sheriffs office from the county court...listing CACH, LLC as the plaintiff...the original creditor was House hold...I live in SC.. I know I need to reply with in 20 days. what would the best way to handle this...I would be able to come up with the funds if need be in the middle of Feb... thanks for any replies...

Hello I took out a online payday loan for $700.00 from cashin30minutes.com and friday i got a call from National ATTorney collection services saying that i have a legal case in there office and if i didnt pay 820.oo immediately ill be charged with check fraud..

I know there is something wrong with this but I'm missing it somewhere. Its not just Capital One that is doing this, but it's the biggest offender... Although Capital One has charged of this account (balance of $300) and it has appeared this way for years, they are still increasing the balance at a very high rate like it was an open revolving account. After 2 years it inflated from $300 to $1100. I know this is wrong, but under what context?

Hello to everyone. I have a major situation here. I have allot of debt and it is over a bunch of cards. This is all credit card debt. I own nothing and have no rent. Here is my worry. If I go with debt negotiation or settlement there will be some cards that will go maybe 2 years without being paid until I had enough in the account to pay the settled amount. My concern is that I would be sued or action would be taken against me because a card went unpaid for such a long time. Is filing chapter 13 better?

My bank(Focus Credit Union) sent me a letter saying that my account was closed and that I have been reported to Chexsystems for NSF. I owe them 517.00. The reason I owe them is because the company(pdl) that is debiting my account, I couldn't find any contact information to call them and tell them that I had switched banks. The people at the credit union don't have any contact information for them either. My question is that I opened up a Bank of America account about a month ago and I'm wondering if they will close my account because of this? Thanks

I had a debt that was sent to a collection agency back in 1996 or 1997. I remember being contacted by them when they first initial received the debt but then didn't hear anything back from them for quite a few years. I had completely forgotten about it because at the time I received the notice that this debt was sent to collections I was not financially able to even set up payment arrangements with them and figured they would continue contacting me for the money & I would be able to start making payments to them later.

The cop gave me a $75 ticket. The way our courts work - if you plead guilty and mail it in within 2 weeks, then you don't have to show up for court. So I made out a check for $75, mailed it in on 7/6/2004 and the check cleared my bank 7/9/2004. I thought it was all over with ...
