I have 2 PDL's that seem to be going on as if nothing happened. I did close my account and opened a new one but I am still getting emailed receipts that indicate that they are being paid as before. Wondering when that would come to a head? It would seem to me that the first ACH wouldn't work on a closed account. I did check with bank by the way and they told me that old account was indeed closed.

I am an RPCV who recently COSed after 3 years in the Peace Corps. I am currently still in Burkina Faso. In 2010, after one year of my Peace Corps service, I failed to mail in the renewal for deferment on a student loan from Direct Loans. Consequently, my loan went into default. A collections agency, ACT, contacted me through the Burkina Peace Corps office, demanding monthly installments that were higher than my monthly income and higher than the amount I was allowed to take out of my readjustment allowance for such purposes.

I received a call from Capital Legal calling on behalf of Vandelier Group. I was told they were going to have a summons sent to me. I did not take this loan out. But did it was deposited and I did pay it back. I then placed a ACH block on my account. Have you had any experience dealing with them?

Good Afternoon, I am writing in concern of my phone calls I am receiving at work. I got two different phone calls at work about pay day loans I owed and they said they were going file with the local Municipal court house in the State of Maine and file criminal charges against me. They were also going to have me arrested. Can someone please help. They have given me two hours to come up with the money and then they will dismiss my case.. I am really wound up about this.

These people call at least once everyday. I put their number on my call blocking but the phone does ring once before it goes to the block. I have recently had a stroke and I need my rest!

I too have been receiving calls from these people about a debt that I thought I had paid off. They said my bank acct had been closed and that I now owe over 1000.00 dollars for the payday loan of 300.00. Can they sue me from another state? I live in Louisiana, and the collections people are from Pennsylvania.

I got a call from this company and tell me they were taking me to court for a pay loan, i tell them that i can pay the loan on payment of 50.00 and they tell me NO that i need to pay it in full i tell them i don't have a job and the only amount I can afford it was 50.00 a month and still tell me NO, and i say ok then you can put it to the court the only think is that I don't leave in wisconsin anymore and they ask me, were do you live and i say in my car and i am in Tx now, well we are going to serve you were you used to live and then the court will take care, that means you can't come back to

Is National Credit Adjusters a legal debt collector? I recently received a call from them and a friend of mine received a call from them. A couple of months ago I paid off several payday loans, but there are 2 that have gone to collections that have not been fully paid off. I don't know which one NCA is calling about. I do owe debts from Cashnet USA and Payday One, but I need to know if NCA is a legit collector and if I need to worry about them. Please Help! I want this behind me. One more question....Can I pay these debts off with the original creditor even after they have sold the debts?
