How does the internet PDLS effect you dealing with check system/ telecheck . excuse me if this is a stupid question

I was told by the Florida Dept of Financial Regulation that I am subject to the laws of the state where the lender is licensed. Has anyone else been told this? It doesn't sound right to me. And, what if it is a foreign lender? Help! Thanks.

I was almost at my wit's end before I stumbled upon this site. Looking over the threads I am receiving a lot of encouragement that I can get out of this. This is my problem: Regardless of the start, I have been abusing pdl's for about 10-11 months and am fed up with it. I have vowed to not take any more out but I want to know how/if I can stop the current loans.

Both of my bank accounts are officially closed and my loans will default on Friday. Should I start sending out letters now so that they won't try to hit my accounts? I'm worried that this will affect me opening a new account this Saturday. That's the only day I have time to go open another account.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They sent me out a settlement letter last month. My original balance with them is 2,433.20. Their letter stated that they would be willing to settle for 3 payments each being 405.53, total I would be paying 1,216.60. When I received this I sent them a Validation letter and I was returned with the signature card, proof that they received it.

Anyone know if this company is licensed in the state of Ohio?

My credit is horrible . will be repaired when i receive reitrement refund . I am on chex sytem for $78.00 and that will be paid with in next 3 weeks. Just relocated to columbia south carolina and need a bank or credit union to cash my paychecks and have my retiremnt refund direct deposited from opers. HELP
