I have a question and need advice... I have a family member who owes 25,000 in back taxes to the IRS. Ok, I don't know how long he's owed the IRS, but he did find a company who negotiated with the IRS and has it down to $7500 which is pretty darn good. however, he does not have the money to pay the $550 a month for 15 months and has told the company who negotiated this deal that he can't afford that kind of money. well that company said he's refusing to cooperate when all he's saying is that i just can't afford that much but will pay what he can.

Hi Everyone, Great forum. I was doing research on debt relief and came up with countless debt settlement companies. Called several of them and all seem to spend as much time with me on the phone as I want. Very convincing sales pitches. They make it seem like the best solution. Spent little time here and it seems like they lure people into a never ending nightmare. Thank God I found this site. I called Take Charge America after someone mentioned them here. A counselor told me what my best options are.

Well, Well, Well...I got 2 e-mails from PayDay select today, one said my payment of 170.00 had been canceled due to invalid checking account information, then the second one said, "We are sorry you are dissatified with our service, we consider you loan PIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! EVERYONE!!! I still have 1 on-line but its legal and 3 store fronts to deal with but at least I got 2 of them pretty much taken care of. Reny:)

I am new to this sight and am wondering about this pdl consolidation. I am wanting to do this, but I don't want the company's that have my checks to take me to court. The company that I have spoke to is town and county acceptance cooperation. I worry about me sending them this money and then the companys seeking legal action against me until the payment starts?????

Hello..I've been sued for a creditcard debt. I always made payments on time until I could no longer afford payments when I became disabled and lost my job of 14 years. While disabled I still made payments for awhile. My financial situation got (and still is)pretty bad. I've been disabled since Oct. 2002. Unfortunately I don't have an exact time/date when my last payment was. I don't have any properties, except for my mini-van (which I still owe close to $1,000.)and I'm behind in payments on that, too.
