I have a credit card that went to collections and was picked up by B&Q. My Husband was served with my summons went I was not home. (This is not a joint account). B&Q would not settle and I did not get a court date and the Judge awarded a judgment against me with out my being able to defend myself. Was this legal?

Hi, I have made 2 payments to SDS and am feeling like I need to back out of the plan and figure out another way to get out of debt. It is a 43 month program, which seems so long, and I am concerned with how long this will affect my credit. I know they say they will do credit repair, but how much does that help? Will all of these collections show on my credit file for the next 7 years? Has anyone been through the whole program. How did it go? I am due to have another payment withdrawn from my account this week, and I'm trying to decide if I should stop them.

hi there. i am so glad i found this forum! i am $40 in debt, $6k of that are student loans and the rest arecredit cards. i can't even tell you where or how i accumulated so much debt. i started paying my car insurance on my credit card, then some school tuition...and the rest is history. i am recent college grad making $40k a year now. (thank goodness i have a job). the thought of only making minimum payments month after month and year after year just taunts me and i must do something to work towards becoming debt free.

What do I do If the company I applied to has not followed the rules that the FCRA? I was not notified in writing that I was rejected because of my credit score . I was notified by the hiring manager vocally . What can I do ? I feel I have been discriminated against =. The job was one that was a Minimum wage job . Can anyone out there direct me to information regarding the internet payday loans. I have a few of them that I have been advised to let go thru without payment. This is because I desperately want to get out of there grasps, and I have found that they will not do any payment plans unless I default. Any one have any wisdom on this subject?

We broke a lease in Arizona on an apt. We went to management and told them I had a job offer back in Texas and they said we would have to pay 3500.00 to get out of the lease. I told the property manager that we could not pay that. Anyways, how would I dispute the entry on my credit report seeing as I lived there and the address shows on my credit report. Sorry, I refuse to pay that high of an amount to. So am I screwed until it falls off or can I dispute it with the collection agency. Thanks

For some reason the last few days I have been getting a ton of what just register as incoming calls to my phone. One of them finally left a message saying that their name was Belinda with Morgan and Pottinger Attorneys and that I needed to give them a call back at an 888 #. Now I am a little leery about this, especially because I have never heard of them, so I thought I would post on here to see if anyone has ever heard of them or had any dealings with them before I decide if I am calling them back or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
