There is really no way to get out of this is there?

18 years 4 months ago
Hi I'm new, I have way toooo many payday loans. I read on here where you say that in Ohio the payday lender must allow you to make payments. Can some point that fact out to me. I tried reading the Ohio Check Casher law, but its over my head and I can't actually "see" where it says that. Also if I clos my checking account can the bank get me for bouncing checks after the account is close? I see posts that say don't close your checking account too...So I'm starting to think there is no way out! Thanks Reny:)

Good news for me!!

As some of you may know, I have been fighting some health issues for the last year...and have had 2 surgeries to try to get rid of fast growing pre- cancer cells. I had another biopsy done 2 weeks ago to check (I go in every 12 weeks for one to monitor growth) and for the 1st time in over a year....they were NORMAL!!!! I don't have to go back until January for a regular check up. I can't tell you what a relief this is...but I'm sure you can imagine.

National Credit Adjusters - Now What?

18 years 4 months ago
Okay. National Credit Adjusters "purchased" an illegal pdl loan that I had. I received a collection notice from them for $500 for a $300 loan. Of course, I immediately sent out a debt validation letter. No response. I then sent out a 2nd "reminder" letter to them 30 days later. Today (Oct 29) I received a letter from them in the mail. "Mr. Laster" expects the balance of $500 in his office by Oct 31. Ummm... okay. He says they accept pmt via Western Union, checks by phone, credit cards, and bank wires. First of all, "Mr. Laster" is insane. However, here is my question.

I am doing my research now to try and find a good company

18 years 4 months ago
Hi everyone. I have been off of the boards for a few days because of work and going out of town, so it's good to be back. :-) I really missed this place! I do have a question...Has anyone ever used Town and Country to consolidate things besides pdls, such as credit cards, etc. I know they are known for pdl consolidation/settlement, but I wasn't sure about other unsecured debt. Please let me know if you have used them. I am doing my research now to try and find a good company that I can start with in Jan. Thanks. :-)

How to Get Info Taken Off of My Credit Report From CA???

18 years 4 months ago
Okay well I had an overdrawn bank account with WaMu for $375. It was put into collection this past April, and was on my credit report. I've been bumping around from place to place until I was able to get settled last month, so needless to say I never got anything from the CA. Only reason I know is I pulled my report in August. Anyway, I talked to WaMu on the phone and I can go into a branch and pay the past due account off in cash, and they'll supposedly notify the CA that the account has been paid.

Need to pay off the storefronts quickly

18 years 4 months ago
I would like to know if I can tell T & C which creditors to pay off first. I want to pay off my store front pdl's and the ones licensed to do business in Kansas, because I know that can get a judgement against quicker, because they are in the same state that I live in. :?:

Tremont Financial suing me, contacted NH Banking

18 years 4 months ago
Hello, I'm being sued by Tremont Financial for a PDL. I contacted the State of NH Banking Department. They are now suing Tremont Financial for illegal activity in NH. The State of NH sent me a copy of the Cease and Desist Order requiring them to cease all collection efforts against me and to refund all monies. Now what do I do about the lawsuit in SD against me? Should I send a copy of the Cease and Desist to the judge in SD? If yes, what else should I do to get the lawsuit against me canceled?

Off the Site for a While.....

Hello all - Sorry to have been quiet recently. With my daughter & her boyfriend moving into my home so suddenly, my days have been filled with work-related stuff, my lunch breaks are full of phone calls, and my weekends and evenings are full of homework with my boys, grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, and job hunting with the two newest members of my household.
