I guess my first taste of REAL debt was a few years ago. Even though technically, having been through college on a student loan my debt has spaned back a lot further. I know a lot of peoples debt problems arise because of credit cards, although they factor in to mine, payday loans are the real problem :( I just kept taking them for some reason. Thinking they would 'fill the gap'.. *sigh* Im just a little older now, but ALL the more wiser. Wiser to their offers, their small print an their fast talk.

Well, most of you will not be suprised when you read my response regarding Paycheck Today from the BBB. I have added additional complaints to this and have filed on their collection agency as well. Mostly so I can forward the info to my AG and their states AG. i really do not expect anything further to come of this from the BBB.

I just got a call from 500 Fast Cash saying that I took a loan out and I owe $400. I did take loan out with United cash loans/MTE Financial for $300. I found this site and then I closed my account and started the road to recovery from PDL hell!! I sent BBB a complaint and I just got an email this morning stating that they forwarded it to MTE and I can check the status online. I told the chick from 500 Fast cash that I will not discuss this on the phone and only correspond via email or us mail.

Just a question for everyone here...I logged in this morning and saw that I had a QM from someone who is registered as a member. This person was offering me a loan. It sounded like one of those spammy kind of email offers that we get. My question is, did anyone else get a QM like this and how often does it happen? I have been a member here for about 3 months now and this has never happened before. Just curious. :-)

I'v been receiving calls at work which I have ignored so far. They are from PDL 1800-661-0086 ext 3111 & 3112 & now 1800-654-7444 ext 831 saying they are First national Service but the called id indicates 305-791-9666. I tod the man I could not accept phone calls at work. He adv that he got my direct # from the main line at work. I can't have these people calling me at work ! I asked for his address & he refused. He said I needed to pay via Visa or Mastercard or Western Union & to call him back on my break or he'd keep calling. I am so nervous. I don't ave a Visa or $ to pay them back.

I have recent;y been paying of my payday loans. I have closed my checking account so they would stop taking more and more money out even though they have received everything back. I got a phone call last night from one of them and they are saying that I owe them 800 dollars!!!! I only owe them 60.00 on the loan and then whatever the interest is at this point. Who knows since it is forever changing. The woman on the phone said she is going to contact my offices HR dept and have my paycheck garnished. I told her I wanted something in writing to show me how or why I still owe 800 bucks.
