I received a strange phone call at work today. The man on the phone told the receptionist that it was an important legal matter and was very rude. I called the number at lunch and a man calling himself Officer Nick? answered and said he was transferring me to an investigator. He would not tell me what company it was for or what the issue was about. All he said was that I had committed bank fraud. The "investigator" got on the phone and was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE!!! He started yelling at me about bank fraud.

Hi all, I'm very new to the forum and i've been looking at the posts and hope that i'm not starting a new 'old' topic. I was wondering if anyone has been denied work because of bad credit? I recently had an interview at a law firm (for a data entry position, entry level). About a week after my first interview i got a notice in the mail saying that the firm is doing a credit/background check and emphasized that they are looking into my consumer credit history. interestingly enough, an hour after my first interview the firm called me for my 2nd interview (to schedule).

Ok this is kinda complicated but i wanna know if anyone has EVER heard of such a thing! My daughter and her hubby went to Jackson Hewitt in April to file their taxes. They had a baby back in October and didnt' have a copy of her SS# so JH told daughter to go to SS office and get a card for the baby... She did, but it was gonna take 7 to 10 days to come in and it put them past the 15th. JH got them so sign all the forms and told them they would just send it off as soon as they got the SS#. Well 4 months go by and they never got their refund!

I have several pay day loans out, because I got into a tight spot and I needed the extra cash, and now I can't payback my loans. I had a phone call today from a supposed attorney's office and they threatened to garnish my wages if I don't pay back the monies that I borrowed! I can't afford for them to garnish my wages! I just recieved a call from rich frankin or something let that. Well i got an loan from cashinminutes for 150.00. Now this man is talking about putting a warrent out for my arrest and trying to make me pay 1300.00. So i emailed cansnminutes and then this man calls me back getting smart with me. Talking about an im refusing to pay restition. I dont understand whats going on. Can someone give me some information.

I just found out today that CheckSmart has turned my account over to Legal Mediation Practices even though I went to mediation court in July 2007 regarding repayment of the loan, and CheckSmart had agreed to the repayment plan and had agreed to work with T&C to receive payments. Legal Mediation sent the payments back to T&C today, and T&C requested I talk to Legal Mediation to find out the address to send the payments to. Legal Mediation would not give me the address and said they refuse to work with T&C because the loan was secured by a check that was returned not paid.

About 3 weeks ago I got a loan through Cash Transfer Centers. I was unable to pay back the full amount of the loan. I am waiting to hear from them telling me that they are going to fax a wage assignment to my payroll department. I have not signed anything giving them permission to do this and it also does not mention anything in my loan documents about giving them permission to do this. Can they still do this? Please help I am scared about this.
