I sent them an email on a loan I have with them and this was there reply, Mind you my loan was for $300.00 and have not made a payment yet. Was doe on 9-28-2007 What happened to the 30 days? They are crazy! :evil:

I would love your opinion on my situation. Here it is in an outline 1. Hired Rescue debt (after being talked into it)to Resolve debt problems which I paid over $10,000 in their fees 2. Started getting harassing phone calls, lots of court papers and police and private citizens delivering court papers 3. Rescue Debt settled one debt for me and got me started on a payment plan with a law firm for two more 4. Rescue Debt resigned as my debt helper 5.

I see that u said that if bill collectors call ignore there call. But you should'nt do that because if you ignore there call they can call back... You should always answer and tell them not to call anymore. It is against the law for them to call if you say stop calling if you dont say anything you will keep recieving calls untill the company gets the letter... That is really annoying... Its not illegal to keep calling as long as they havn't talked to any one... Depending on what state your in...

Wow, I am glad to see there are active forums regarding this type of thing. Well, I will keep my situation short and semi-sweet. I am 20, married and moved out in March. My parents have been receiving persistent and nagging phone calls from allied interstate in which they ask for me for the last several weeks. Because many ad/irrelevant agencies still call there looking for me, they wrote AI off and decided not to mention it to me until today. I called, and it's past their business hours. Now that I have learned what AI is, I am confused as to what debt I could possibly owe.

A collection agency filed a complain against me in the court house. Complain filed, summons issued abd filed, then later the case was dismissed before I was not being served. That means the debt is not my responsibility???

I have got 3 different payday loans, midland market $300 i have paid 7 different $90 payments to them, another is tjf corp or bmg $200 i have paid 2 different payments of $60, and i have 1 more but i can not remember the exact name, but i have paid them for 4 payments of $60. I live in illinois, what can i do about these. Can i cancel my checking account and just work something out with them.

allied interstate offered me to pay a lower amount to take care of a debt, but they told me that it would show up on my credit report. However, they told me if I pay the full amount originally owed then it would not show up. Is this true?
