This company has called twice and asked for my father. I have told them twice that my father passed away this past February and then they asked to speak to my mother. When they finally spoke with my mother, they wanted the last 4 digits of my father's SS#. My mother asked them what it was in referrence to and the girl on the other line stated that she could not tell her unless she gave her the SS#. My mother refused and they said they could tell her what the call was about they hed my dad;s SS#.

dear sirs been divorced bout 3 years...making 8.35 cents per hour. Am a single mom getting some child support...have had to use my credit cards...incurred ALOT of medical expenses....not to mention a repossed car I am paying 50 dollars a month 8000 is still due and lawyers fee. Do you cover that stuff also. Am trying to make ends meet but is hard and am relying on my credit cards more it seems. I work in retail so hours are being constantly cut. Can you help. I have an old payday loan from 2002 that I forgot about and now I am getting numberous calls from Danny George at Westbury Ventures saying I need to call him or his attorneys will be serving me a subpeona in 7 days for a civil trial. He said the payday loan was for $200 back in 12/02 and I need to send $500 by moneygram immediately to avoid further action. Well after me demanding proof multiple times he finally faxing me paperwork where I had a $100 payday loan in 2002. Not $200, not sure where that came from. What should I do? What further action can he take? I am in Northwest, FL.

Hey I hope someone can help me i read some of the stories now i need to get my credit back on track like others have done. this was my fist time i stumbled on this site but my mortgage is behind we have 4 pay day loans i'm trying to get rid of while trying to get the credit card companies off my back and all the household bills...I'm trying to stay afloat but it's hard my husband is killing hisself in overtime. Just got an email from Upfront Payday saying they are marking my account as satisfied & are issuing me a 125.00 refund. Holy cow does that feel good!! So far that makes 3 down & 5 more to go!!!

can you use debt settlement if the debt you have has already went to charge off and has been sold to a collection agency?

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone that has settled with Chase, Citi, Discover or Bank of America. I'm in huge credit card debt and will be trying to settle myself.

Marilyn from American Consumer Credit called & said she has a great deal for me & to give her a call back as soon as I could. blah blah blah...if it's that great..send it to me in writing!!! These illegal companies really do think the consumer has no clue. She sounded sweet as pie on that voice mail...is she kidding me!!!!!
