I received a settlement agreement from their lawyer and a refund but two months later they are still trying to collect. I even signed a confidentiality aggreement. They sent one of those Shawn Wiggins / Michael DePriece form emails about an "important decision" that will effect me. I called Michael and explained how his info was in error and to call their lawyer to verify. He said, "Are you sure you called the right company? This is Geneva Roth or Loan Point. Yes I am sure!

Does anybody know anything about borrowing from their life insurance, not if it is a good idea, but how it is done and do all companies allow you to borrow from them????

One of the creditors on my report is JJ Marshal and recently I called to try to get a settlement deal for the 668.00 I owe,They would only go down to 550.00 so I said no I will just make payments,I made a 25.00 payment and was notified by my credit monitoring that I had new accounts added! Its like they added another account but for 25.00 less onto my report! Will this hurt me and how do I go about making payments if this is what is going to happen?Thanks Sara

I have read other peoples stories on this site and I am there too. I am having to move, I am loosing my house...I can't pay rent and I will be homeless. The fees alone exceed my paycheck...I don't know what to do. I looked into consolidation, however it doesn't seem possible... if I could qualify for a loan I would have never gotten in this mess. Maybe you can help somehow? The homeless part doesn't bother me as much as my two black labs which I love more than anything. I don't know what to do.

Is it standard practice for the storefronts to sue for judgements? What is the normal chain of events with storefronts (in general).

I was served a summons yesterday in which asset acceptance llc is suing for $2600.00. The court date is set for 10/3/2007 which is in 1 week. It seems they purchased the debt from Washington Mutual and I have never had a credit card from them. I have never been contacted by Asset Acceptance that I know of befote receiving this summons. I have no idea what to do now, especially when I have a court date in 1 week. Any help?

Grr Grr. I am so mad I can spit! Just to get it off my chest, Clearwire Wireless Internet sucks! My fun journey began when my apartment complex suddenly decided not to renew the lease..so we had to move. We moved, but our wireless doesn’t catch the signal very well, if at all, no matter where we tried…I did manage to get a weak signal when I held the unit up over my head and lifted my right leg up. *sigh* So, we call and cancel service.
