Can I consolidate just my payday loans. I am trying to rebuild my credit with my credit cards and have them in good shape. If I continue with all this payday loan interest I may get behind on them.

I get a bank statement in the mail and they try to take out $49.95 thank god there was no money in there but i was still charged $16.00 and did not sign up for anything.

I just moved from Florida to Maine. Big move. My questions are: 1. Who's laws do I need to follow? 2. Does SOL restart if I contact the Creditor and ask them to validate the debt, amount owed, age of debt, etc or only if I make a payment? Some of my debts are pretty old, years old, just not sure how old. 3. If SOL has run out can I contact the CA and tell them this and tell them to stop trying to contact me? 4. How do I find out exactly what I owed the ORIGINAL creditor before it went to collections.

Okay, this week has been pdl hell week for cannr! :( Today I received a "letter" in the mail from National Credit Adjusters informing me that they "bought" my "account" (account?) and they want $500.00. Okay. So I read the fine print to see what the hell this is. It's my "account" from Instant Loan Today. Ummm.... really? And they want $500. Ummmm....really? So I got to Bud Hibbs site (thank you, anthony!) and, of course, it's on there under the ugly collection agencies. However, here is my question/delimma - What loan with Instant Loan Today? Loan? News to me.

I am 60 years old, Single, and recovering from my second heart attack. Had to go to a lower stress job with lower pay. Bankrupcy, or Foreclosure is evident. Which is the best way to recover?

I was contacted by Creditor's Exchange last night and threatened with "Adjudication" if I did not contact them by 3pm today. I called this morning and was told I had to pay in full - no payment plan. I called back an hour later and was told that they could split it into 2 payments. The total due is 3000. I can make the first payment, but the second, due 2 weeks later, is basically impossible. I acknowledge this debt and want to pay it off. I asked if they owned the account and was told that they only were given Power of Attorney by FIA, the company that I originally owed.

We have 7 payday loans. We have stopped paying on 4 of them, and they are harassing us and the people that we put down as references. I don't mind just blocking their number...but what do we do about them calling our references? They say that they have "every legal right" to do so. Perhaps to call us every day...but what right do they have to call our references? These people did not ever give them the right to do so. Isn't that illegal? Corn & Kim

I have about $1500 in payday loans total that I'm trying to pay off week by week. Is the best way to just consolidate them all and pay them off that way ? If so, what is a good payday loan consolidation company in California ? I had an accident, i borrowed the money and hopefully I won't have to do it again. I just need to pay off these loans i have now because they eat my check every week and i'm losing myself in a cycle of re borrowing . Please Help !
