AG response forwarded

18 years 6 months ago
Okay. I was getting discouraged by some posts regarding the whole AG issue. However, I came home today and got another response from an AG. Not my AG. So, I'm thinking "Hey, something is going on here!" I received a letter from the state AG of Oklahoma. It is in regards to my complaint filed against MTE Financial. Ummm...never filed with the state AG in Oklahoma. Only with my state AG. Apparently, my state AG forwarded this on. I'm assuming because they thought it was important enough of an issue to forward it to Oklahoma. Yay! So, it's a complaint form and very detailed.

Down Payment When Trying To Rehab A Loan

18 years 6 months ago
Is it normal to have a down payment when rehabbing a loan? Diversified Consulting Services wants $1000 to rehab a loan of $2800. They also expect me to pay 2% of my loan a month too. I also have another loan that is being deferred right now. Should I just consolidate both of my loans to get the one out of default? I do not have enough money to put the down payment down. Not sure which way to go with this one.

When you cannot pay them... then what?

18 years 6 months ago
What happens when you have done all you can do. Negotiated reached a fair settlement with them...and yet you have no funds to do anything about it? Do Credit card companies have their own internal dollar amount that they actually will pursue you legally? Does anyone have a clue what that amount is?

Whats with banks these days?!?!

18 years 6 months ago
Ok, my wife and I are still fairly young, we have a 7 month old child, I'm in the military, and in debt. Between the two of us, definitely more than $10,000, which isn't much to some, but a lot to me! Anyway, I have tried several times at different banks to try and get a loan to help consolidate our debt. Guess what each one of them says? That we have too high of a debt to income ratio or we have too low of income!!!

I got this lawyer letter from Cohen & Slamowitz regardin

18 years 6 months ago
The letter states that I can notify the C&S lawyer office in writing that the debt is disputed by me. And the lawyers will obtain and mail to me the verification of the debt. If I still dispute the debt after that, then what happens? Well I don't think I can just not respond. I've heard that they've served notice (fraudulently) and then have people's bank account frozen. So I have to dispute. What do I do?
