Hi guys, just wanted to know i have been turned over to a collection agency for my credit one visa card. The question i have is that i was trying to negotiate a fair settlement because i lost my job and still have more cards to deal with. Anyways like i was saying i was trying to settle with them but they would not come down to meet my needs. Will i have a better shot negotiating with the collection agency? I received a summons stating that I am being sued, but nowhere does it state who the creditor is. I see the LVNV name, but don't even know who they are collecting for. So now I have to go to court or risk a judgment against me?

Greetings all; I have recently paid-off all my credit cards most of them were less than a thousand here, two or five hundreds there. There was one that had a high balance of about five thousands two hundreds dollars that I seemed to have paid on for six years without the balance moving down more than eighty dollars or so, ( I really don't recall well the facts.) In April of 2005, I called Sears and told them that I would like to pay off the account at fifty cents to a dollar. Naturally they refused and I told them I will stop making payments. And ever since that date I never paid them.

I got my first credit card @ 16 yea I know but then i was dumb as hell and got it maxed and never paid it .. it was all down hill from there.. i'm currently getting my act together with two kids and one on the way.. trying to improved my scores and get a house.. any help would be appreciated

My hubby and I have 6 pay day loans. We had health problems with my daughter and was unable to pay rent and other bills, so we took out the payday loans. Now we cant pay them. The keep calling my husbands work, comming to the house, calling all day long, calling family that has told them to not call, telling family that we will go to jail to for check fraud and we are now being told, that my husband will go to jail for check fraud. We owe all together about 1,100 We have tried to work out payment arrangements, but they are still too high for us to pay on. I dont know what to do anymore.

I have been reading through the postings on this website and I wanted to be sure I am understanding this correctly...It is possible to consolidate payday loans with a debt consolidation company? Is this true even without being a homeowner? I hope so because I have gotten myself way on over my head in "payday loan debt"! The cycle has been going on for over a year and I just can't keep it up anymore. I have payed $thousands$ in interest and fees to these people and I can't break the cycle.

Hi....I know this may sound crazy, but, I'll give it a try. I AM working..however, this month is REALLY tight. Hardly have gas to get to work. I know some people 'donate' their DebtCC points. If someone can help me out a bit, it would be much appriciated!! I do apologize if I went 'beyond' the Forum Guidlines for asking for help. I'm a single mom..just REALLY tough sometimes. want to start my credit

I've been trying to look around this site....a bit overwhelming, I do say. I would like some advice on how to 'take control' of my debt. I do have alot of unsecured debt. I've had several debt consolidation places call me, but, they want such a high fee for the services. Any advice on who to use?
