Way prior to the mediation, I submitted a certified DV letter to them. No response. I also included in that DV letter that the SOL had run out. So at the mediation, I bring up the letter to the attorney. (By the way, the mediator would NOT allow my copy of the DV letter to be considered because he said he, as a mediator, was not a judge and was not allowed to consider it in mediation). I've been having problems loading on this site. Are there server problems going on? Last nite I couldn't get the site to load at all - it would just give me an error message. I also have a PM to Goudah stuck in my outbox. I thought I sent one yesterday but it showed up to me from me today. I started a new one today and that is the one stuck in the outbox. Maybe it is just me but this is the only site that I'm having problems with.

My husband was served with a court summons for an unpaid credit card from 2 years ago. Gerald E Moore is the law firm representing WorldWide Assets. They are threatening garnishing his wages or our bank account if it's not paid in 10 days. It's only $1400 but we are one income family and that's a lot. Later that day I got a call on one of my cards that we haven't paid on threatening the same. They said the summons would be sent out next week for the $1100 balance. I've heard not to listen to the threats but these have gone 'legal' now.

Hi guys, need some help again. Thought I was good to go, but yet, ARM came back and I think they validated the debt from MTE. But, all they did was send me the contract from MTE, and they are saying I still owe $320. Is that validating the debt? Or, should I send another letter? Please help!! I was so stressed about it last night, I could barely sleep! I have paid them over $635!!

I posted yesterday about my loan with Staradvance. I took out a loan for $400. To date, I have paid them, $228 (4 payments of $32 rollover fees, and $100 I paid down. They are saying I owe them $324. I technically only owe them $172. Originally, I agreed to pay them the $324 (before finding this site and calculating how much I paid them already). I told them at that point that I would send them a money order. What would you guys recommend I do?

Got a call yesterday from somebody that I don't know. I also do not know the reason for the call. Couldn't quite understand callers name, but all that was said was: Hi Keith. This is Mr xxx, call me at 866-859-1482 A quick online search was useless. So,any help with this number is appreciated! Now, I will NOT be calling back, since I know nothing about said call. And, since it was well after 9AM, the call is also considered the middle of the night!

Hi everyone. I got a phone call from the law offices of Peter Korn & Associates today attempting to collect on an old credit card debt that was charged off about 2 years ago. I attempted to call them back but all I got was a message prompting me to dial an extension and then dead air. I waited a good 5 minutes for the transfer, but it didn't go through. About litigation...I'm not the brightest crayon in the box so I don't know really what they mean by that or what can happen. I live in S.C. so I know that wage garnishment isn't an option for them. Judgements possibly???

I know this is way off from debt, but last night I was on another board that I am a part of and there was a thread about Elvis. Yesterday was the 30th Anniversary of his death. Since it was fun to read what people remember about him, where they were when they heard that he had died, etc, I thought I would do the same thing here. I, for one, am a huge fan. My mom and I use to always watch his movies together and comment how good looking he was and laugh when my dad would roll his eyes. I was about 15 when he died.
