I have not paid a debt they told be i owe for over a year. Is it too late to do anything about it? Does it hurt me when applying for credit cards? Its a rent debt for under 200 dollars..

What happens if you get bad credit when you didnt have credit to begain with? I never used credit cards..

I too, own no home. My husband died, without life ins. on the home. Sold it. Now I have myself renting and a daughter in college who is making me poorer. I had a bankruptcy after the death also. Been 3 years. I am getting nowhere with payday loans which take half my check or i have to continually renew. Extra money down the drain. Where can i get a loan to pay that and credit cards, which are all smaller credit limits due to above problems. I work full time and pay rent. My kid has college loans, but couldnt support herself all summer with working even. Broke me more. We both are bad off.

Hey Gang! A few of us were talking about marshmallows, and the next thing you know, we're planning a picnic! So here's the lowdown: Since we live ALL OVER THE PLACE, and there's no one state with a heavy concentration of members, we're thinking of having a bi-coastal picnic, with one on the west coast and one here in Michigan. When I was 17, I got some credit cards to my name and maxed them out. I have spent many years paying my debt down and I am still in debt. I have quite some time before I am completely debt free but the key I've learned is smart management of your money and your bills. Pay your bills ON TIME even if it's the minimum payment. It's very important!

Can you read my situation? I checked my credit history by TransUnion on end of June. There were 2 adverse accounts. One is, Chase Auto Finance. When I called to Chase Auto Finance on end of June, they told me "Sentry" is caring my account. So, I sent a DV letter on end of June with certified mail, but they didn't send back anything. I called to Chase Auto Finance again today, they told me "Mercantile Adjustment Bureau" is caring my account now. the other one is, NCO Financial. I also called to NCO Financial on end of July, They told me "TrueLogic" is caring my account.

I have finally decided to do whatever it takes to get out of debt! I stumbled on this website, and am just overwhelmed by all the options out there. So, if anyone has advice for my situation, I would appreciate a little direction on what to do next.... I have about $80,000 in unsecured debt and have NEVER missed a payment. But obviously, I am paying out so much each month to pay off debt that I am unable to save anything (or do anything).
