I hope someone can help me...I have fallen into the trap so many others have...Pay Day Loans. I was out of work due to surgery and needed some money to help make ends meet. The problem is that I still don't have a paycheck because the entire thing is going to paying these payday loans back. I wish I had found this site sooner. After checking it turns out that pdl's are prohibited in Maine. I am not exactly sure how that is going to affect what is going on, but maybe someone can help.

I defaulted with them back in May and got only one call since then. The BBB has attempted to contact them twice and Geneva Roth never responded to them or the DFI either. I am not sure what I need to do next if they are just ignoring the BBB. I mean so far they have left me alone, but from what I've read in the past that doesn't mean I'm safe...unless they are getting too many complaints that they are just giving up on those who are filing complaints now. Any suggestions??

For the past few weeks I've been getting phone calls from a collection agency called Diversified Consultants for a Verizon Wireless bill worth almost $900 in my husband's name. We both know for a fact that this is NOT our debt. My husband works for SPRINT PCS and has carried Sprint for the last 3 years. This guy that keeps calling is rude and very mean. We explained that we would never have carried Verizon since my husband works for Sprint and gets a better deal. We asked for validation and all we got is a reciept of the day it was activated and no signature to prove it was us.

I was reading another posting and I have the similar problem with Clout Credit Card. I haven't received anything from them since maybe January or February of 2007. I go to their webpage to give them a call and it's not longer in service. When I had my card, I would call and they would transfer me as well or just hang up on me. What should i do regarding payments and my balance due? How can I get a hold on them?

I have back bills i need to pay off and i cant't seem to do it when i get paid i try but it isnt helping i need a loan or something like that...

I received a form letter from the BBB of Delaware regarding payday Yes. Basically, their form letter just said "Thank you for the info you furnished, it has been made a part of our file on the subject. What exactly does that mean? That they have numerous complaints and mine is just being added to he pile? Then by chance a couple of days later I hear from somebody different from Payday Yes. Remember, these were the people who told me that they were going to sell my account to some junk collectors and would not be contacting me any more. WHY ARE THEY CALLING ME NOW???

I am currently with debt relief and I don' feel they are doing anything to help me. I was doing fine paying my bills on time but thought this was a better option. I am currently going through a divorce so I guess in my moment of need I got talked into this. All they are doing currently is taking money from me but none of the bills are getting paid and I get all the calls and threatening letters. What can I do? I would like to just consolidate my bills, 3 credit cards which total about $40,000 probably a little less and get the creditors off my back and get back to my normal routine.
