I am so happy to have found this awesome online community. For nearly the past year, I have been drowning in payday loan debt...typically carrying between 4-9 loans at a time! There were some points when I literally shelled out $2100 a month just in FEES. Since joining this community, I've learned that there is something I can do and actually see a light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in a long time. Currently, I have some old collection accounts that I want to clear up to raise my fica score. I've been told it well do little to pay them, and I should focus on my current accounts and debt ratio.

Talk to me folks. Have any of you gotten settlements with these people? Are they licensed anywhere? I'm actually not in default with them because they were first time loans and I still owed principle. When I closed my checking account and started this journey I thought all PDL's were illegal in NY so that the worst case scenario would be liability on the principle borrowed.

My babies are 27 and 23...LOL. My son...of whom I am very proud..has worked his way through college and has 2 BA degrees...Aviation and Geology. We moved here to Indiana when he started college and now he has accepted an assistant teaching position at NIU where he will also complete his Masters and work on his Doctorate in Geolology.

I have been reading this site and i think it is great. I have pay day loans from hell... However, i have about $3000.00. I had to close out my checking account because of all the fees. I have too many payday loans. They where not worth it. I am in worse condition now then when i started... I do not know how to get these down. And they are all internet payday loans.
