Got a email from Cash Transfer Centers accepting my proposal to pay off what I legally owed and not a penny more!! Thanks to all for the info on this PDL stuff. Before I found this site I was ready to file for Chapter 13. Now all my bills are caught up and got 2 pdls down 5 to go!!!

I had a court date today due to being sued by a law firm representing a credit card company. No one from the law firm showed up so the judge dismissed the case. Can they sue me again at a later time?

I have 2 credit cards, one is at $5000 and the other is at about $6000 I have 2 jobs, but I still dont make enought to pay my house payment, car payment and all my other bills with my credit cards so high.

i received a notice from North Star Capital Acquisition, LLC telling me they were suing me for a debt that had been wrote off over a year ago i called to make arrangements to settle but was told i would have to send a $100 a month until the full balance is paid and it would stay on my credit for ten years as a judgement even if i paid i don't know what i should do now any suggestions would be greatly appericiated!

Hello, I am new to this board and was hoping to find some help on a few different matters. 1) My husband received a judgement that he went to small claims court on in Nov 2006 arranging two payments for the settled debt. We paid the first in Jan and the second in April through a refinance on our home. A few days ago I received a letter from the court stating we did not meet the agreement and the day after another leter from the court stating that we owe the full amount of the debt now just like that.

I took a loan for $300 from USFastCash - I have paid $180 on it. Per PA law, the max amount I would owe on this loan would be $328.50, which would leave an outstanding balance of $148.50 on the loan. I received the following email from the compliance department of USFastCash stating that they would settle for $210 on or before 8/17.

I have noticed several posts talking about how a summons was received with attachments to the summons that show documents "verifying" the debt from a collection agency. When you send a DV in response, requesting validation from the original creditor, and you don't get a response to the DV, can you say in court that the documents provided in the summons are "hearsay evidence" since your DV letter was ignored?

I just wanted to see if anyone had any experiences about being summonsed and appearing in court. I have a creditor (Citibank) who has referred my account to a local attorney. I have been corresponding with the attorney to attempt to pay off the debt. As usual, they want more than I can afford. I am worried that they are going to summons me to court. This happened to me before. After I was divorced, an account I had with my wife (that I was the cosigner on) went into collections and then to a local attorney. I corresponded with the attorney for a few months.
