In a thread posted earlier today a person posted a long story about getting a call from the offices of Paul Kupferslime and being told that he had to pay 800.00 by tomorrow or they would go to court and it would cost him $2000.00. I sent him a copy of a debt validation letter etc. I did not catch the fact that he was in Toronto. The guy from Kupferslimes Office gave him an address of their Toronto office to send the money order to. My guess is it is just a mail drop. Is it possible that Kupferslime actually is licensed to practice law in Canada? If he is really a lawyer to begin with.

Hi, I am filing bankruptcy, and had a payday loan through Midland Company. Well they totally screwed me, so I ended up closing my checking accnt. registered with them so they would stop taking money. So they sold my account to a collection agency named iCollect, phone #866-856-1024. They REFUSED to give me their address, or the address of icollect. I really need to provide the courts with their address, what do I do? I have searched and searched, and am coming up with nothing!! Thanks, Candi

Hi All, I'm happy I found this site... Last week I received a call from a Mr. Tagna (Spelling???) from "The Law Office" otherwise known as Paul Kupferstein. They claimed that I owed $800 and that if I didn't pay it within 24 hours, sending them a money order, that I would be going to court and it would cost me $2000 than to repay. I do have a student debt, but I have been making regular payments on it, and within the past 2 months I have been a little short on cash but this past week I've been able to pick up extra shifts and pay what I owe.

how do i stop payday loan companies from makeing automatic withdrawals? Is there a form letter anywhere to mail?
