Credit Repair Experts

Has anybody ever dealt with Credit Repair Experts. Good? Bad? Looks like they are similar to Lexington Law. I saw a lot of bad things on Rip Off Report about Lexington Law but nothing about Credit Repair Experts. Thank You in advance for any information you can give me.

Line of Credit

18 years 6 months ago
I have been repairing my credit for a year now. I went from 540 FICO to scores up to 710. I have 5 credit cards now with interest rates from 14.99 to 21.99. Yesterday I got an offer, not a pre-approval, for a Citi Flex Line of Credit, with no collateral - 5,000 to 25,000, with a 11.99% apr fixed. I have a Citi credit card I got a few months ago and charged a small amount this month and have not made a payment yet. The letter says because of my good payment history with them, they made the offer. I am wondering if I would be able to get this line of credit?

Fight identity theft: Monitor your credit report

18 years 6 months ago
Hello forum members, here is very helpful information on identity theft, I hope it will be helpful. The FTC reports that it takes an average of 12 months before a person realizes that he is an identity theft victim. By that time, you would have received several calls from collection agencies about accounts that you don't recall ever opening. So why wait until much damage has been done? Why not prevent the crime from ever happening in the first place?

Beware of Settlement Companies that are not members of TASC

18 years 6 months ago
TASC ( The Association Of Settlement Companies ) is a trade association that holds memeber settlement companies accountable for disclosing information and how they do bussiness.(tascsite.org) If a debt settlement company is not a memeber RUN AWAY. They will tell you what you want to hear, putting you in too long of a program that will end up getting you sued but they don`t care because they get their fees up. Plus there are even companies that Copy the TASC logo and put it on their site to fool you into thinking they are memebers.

Is a settlement better then bankruptcy ?

18 years 6 months ago
Settlement companies charge 15% fee and you have to report the unsettled amount to the IRS. I have $60,000 in credit card debt, am 60 days past due and my creditor had a plan but it is double what i can afford. I don't know what to do and I am worried. I have always had good credit untill now. All my other bills are current. Any advise ???? Thanks
