I lost my job and haven't been able to pay my bills and now I'm so far behind that I can't catch up on my own. My credit score is so bad that I cant get a loan and they're talking about taking my car and home. What can I do.

On my credit report from Experian one of the collector is National Business Fact and I have no idea who they are, could someone tell me who it might be. Thanks.

Hi. Has anyone had any experience getting a loan through nationloans.com? I filled out an application about 2 weeks ago and was contacted this past Friday by someone saying that I am approved for a secured loan of $3000. They want a security deposit of $350 up front. I'm kind of leary. Has anyone ever had a loan that they had to secure with a payment? Oh yes, I went to their website to see if I could get a phone number but they may only be contacted by email. The phone number that the contact person gave me is actually a pager number. I get the feeling this is not a good situation.

I signed up for the free counseling to get help with my payday loans and the gentleman i spoke with told me there is no help for me because my loans are with online payday loan companies. I have read in the forums of people getting help, why was i turned down with no help and no suggestions? Is there anyone that can help me? I want to do debt settlement or consolidation if possible. Last weekend I rented a car, I didn't apply for any credit cards, I just rented a car and returned it. Today I get a notice from the credit monitoring service I have that a new (hard) inquiry has been posted to my account from that car rental place. Is this legal??

I currently want to go back to school but do not want to take out loans. I already have current debt but do not want to create more. We have tuition reimbursement at work but every time i want to take 1 course and have saved up some $$ something always comes up. So the money i save always gets used on something else. Help please.

OK, I know I may make people mad by positing this, but again...to be fair...I have a payment plan with FMS out of Tulsa, OK (they are with LVNV--shudder)...I deposited a check to cover my monthly payment, but there was an ACH hold on it and FMS's payment was returned. I just called them and they were very helpful. I explained what happened and they allowed me to wire the payment to them along with a $5 fee and keep the original payment arrangement. I was nervous about it, but am very happy they were understanding.
