Could someone PLEASE post the California law regarding pdls for janine? She's posted and listed out her pdl's and amounts. I can not for the life of me find the state law for California. Please help! You can read her post and post the law there. I'm at a stand still! Thank you to anyone!

Are they reputable and how effective are they.

Hello all, I am new to this site and I have read alot of the posts. I am now asking for help. I live in California and I have 7 payday loans out right now. I cannot get out of the nightmre. I just got paid today and my entire $1100 check is gone due to paying back the loans. Actually I am mostly paying finance fees. I want to close my bank acct and try to pay off my loans with a better payment plans. I have so many loans but I keep having to get a new one since I can't pay off the old one and I have regular bills to pay.

I have sent numerous emails requesting that they only correspond via email or US mail but they insist on calling and leaving messages. When they do email they just strongly urge me to call them back right away. Their last message was to tell me how I was misinformed in thinking that they have to follow NY laws.

Thank God for caller ID. I even have it at work so I just lowered the volume of my ring so noone else has to hear it. Most of the calls are going to my home number but I'm getting at least two a day at work. I faxed my complaint form to the AG this afternoon. I had already sent one online at the end of June and emailed him from the website the other day but I haven't heard from him. Another NY'er on here heard from them in one week so I'm hoping someone at least will make contact with me so that I know they got something.

So do state laws still apply to internet loans? I'm in Virginia and currently have 4 internet loans (MTE, MyCashNow, NLS, and GFSIL). I don't see any of these companies listed on the Virginia AG site as licensed in the state, so do internet companies have their own set of rules?
