I live in NY and just received a summons for civil court from lawyers for Palisades Collection agency regarding an old AT&T account. Not really sure what my next step should be. I did see another post with a similar problem but was unable to read it all as there is side bar on this page and I can't figure out how to move it to read everything. I don't remember well if I do owe them or if it was paid off but the figures they are alleging with the interest would be a hardship on me at this point in time.

Hello I am a financial mess with money. I don't even know when it exactly started but it was at least 5 years ago. I don't even have a huge reason why. I have never been very truthful with my husband regarding the bills and it always seemed like regardless of the raises or how much we made, it was never enough. About 3 years ago we even had our boat repoed. After begging my husband for forgiveness in the middle of the night(he didn't know we were behind of payments), he stayed. During this time period I bounced a lot of checks and was lucky enough to not go to jail for it (we paid them).

When I became a member here I was "DUMB" about credit repair.Several months later I have gotten six collections deleted from my credit report.Currently have two debts that will be removed this month. I learned how to write a validation letter,how to dispute and learned FTC regs.Because of all the help I only have one collection on my credit report for $173.00 whicch I will Pay off soon.I have gone from the bottom with negatives to now a decent credit report.THANKS FOR ALL THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT. karenr216 :D

hi guys i am currently negotiating with 7 credit card companies on my own. finally i received a letter from one of them and i was wondering what this meant do hey want o settle or what here i what the letter states. its from SST inc, your account will remain on our active files for liquidation purposes only. please contact us imediately to make arraingements for liquidation of the balance on your account. now what r they trying to say, r they finally going to weel and deal with me or does this letter mean they r going to take me to court if i dont pay the full amount.

why I cant find my page

i had a pdl from cmg group and westbury ventures keeps harrasing me for the money i dont want to make my payment to them for fear that it will not go to the right place they said that i was commiting fraud and i will be charged is that true i am in pa they are in texas

As you guys may remember, United never debited my account for their "fees" this past paydate. OneClick did. I sent them several e-mails and a couple of faxes, and still no response. I'm not complaining. I hope the NYS AG is on their a**es! 8)

After getting laid off because the company I worked for incorrectly documented my attendance I've been in trouble for finances. I've been bouncing around temp jobs. I will be starting college soon which is paid for by the Army but my personal debt and bills are out of hand.
