I want to pay for a bill I owe but when I try to tell them I can't pay what they request I'm treated like skum. Is there anybody in bill collections who's empathic?

[font=Verdana][/font][color=Indigo][/color][size=3][/size]One month ago I stupidly did an over the phone electronic check for $50 for a debt that I knew I owed. It's an old hospital bill and I know I owe this money so I thought it was legit. It was supposed to be a one time transaction and they were supposed to send me a receipt in writing along with my balance so that I can send a check to pay in full. Well, now they are withdrawing $50 each month with I did NOT give them permission to do and I have not gotton anything in writing. What do I do?

I would just like to know if they can call my place of employment before 9:00 am......I dont think so but not sure....what should I do? They call about the same time every morning....

Company/Individual reported: GECC GECC not only refused to let us pay off our loan early without addtional fees (fees put on by them when asked to pay it off), but they also went back on the payment plan, pulling money out of our account when they wanted to, not on the payment plan in writing. This caused alot of problems with our bank account. GECC admitted their mistake and corrected it but refuse to reimburse us for the fees accrued by their error with the bank. Complete scam and we are taking them to the BBB.

I have 3 loans that I’m due to payoff next week. Obviously, I am not going to give them my new bank account information. So my question is, is it really safe to pay them with Moneygram or Western Union? I would much rather do it that way. Has anyone had any experiences with this issue?

I'm looking for information on this number 1-866-616-3671. They call CONSTANTLY...Most of the time I get a "generic" recording left on my answering machine at home that starts off with "definately call us back at" does not name the company or the person.....I had a recording on my machine today with this number. When I called it I could hardly make out the person on the phone. He said the company was called "NARS"? Any help would be great!

Is it necessary to have debt settlement companies that have attorneys/

for you to settle debts without your spouse finding out about it? If the debts are yours, and their name isn't on them, can you use a settlement company to help, without the spouse finding out?
