For all of you who are getting discouraged with no response from the AG offices, don't let it get you down. I filed complaints on 7 pdl's with my state AG and didn't hear a word. I'll be honest. I was getting discouraged. But I did know that the AG would take time, so I wasn't sweating it or anything. I knew they would eventually do something. Well, today I came home and had a big envelope from the state AG. Apparently, the did them all together (which I guess they would do if you file a bunch of them) and then sent me my response in one envelope for each complaint.

Will this drop my credit?

i had a garnishment against me for a auto loan back in 2004.after 2 years of payments i switch to a new employer and for the last 2 1/2 years i never heard another word from them.today that changed they contacted my employer with a garnishment saying i still owe 12,000 to them.i gave the car back before the first garnishment they resold the car.i cannot afford to have 25% of my pay taken i will never have enough to pay my bills.what should i do?i ask why they waited 2 1/2 years to do this and she said they could not find me.i live in the same zip code and i have only waorked for 1 place since

I graduated from undergrad with 5 credit cards. all of them were up to date but the minimum payments were annoying. i made calls about debt management and was told my "best" option was to do debt negotiation. i entered into the agreement with the company in January of 2007. they instructed me to stop paying my bills and send them payments every month about $600. They said i would be clean in 12 months. Their fee was about 17% of my debt at the time. Roughly around 1,700 paid with my first few payments.

I now know college loan debt is a permanent event and the only escape is to die or become disabled for a minimum term of three years. Does anyone else know anything about it? Does anyone know an attorney who can negotiate a settlement or can the debtor negotiate a settlement? How would this be done?

I just pulled my credit report...I had a credit card, but due to some unexpected happenings I have fallen behind on payments. On my report is my credit card company, states my balance, over 5,000. and past due amount,800.00 and says account is charge off as bad debt, the there is LVNV funding with same account # as credit card, says open account, past due amount is 6,000.00, says collateral is credit card co., and loan type is factoring company account. I don't understand any of this, who do I owe?

I got a call from ARROWHEAD and they are telling me that I will go to jail if I don't pay them 810.00 for a 260.00 loan they said that they would come pick me up from work and black card my SSN# to where I could not get a job for 3 yrs. and that the coast after being arrested would coast me thousands of dollars. I had to close my account because checks were stolen and they never onced called. The lady said it was aginist the rules for ARROWHEAD to call people. I live in TEXAS .

I am just going through my papers, but I can't find anything in any of the papers from MTE that says anything about a wage assignment. I know Sonic is known to try this tactic, but what about MTE? Do they attempt to do wage assignments? Just curious to know what I am in for.
