We are drowing in debt. Our debt now doubles my husbands annual income. I am constantly stressed and have brought up bankruptcy but my husband is totally against it which I understand. So then I brought up debt settlement which he also doesnt want to do. He is very concerned about how either of these will affect his career and I am very concerned about having a mental breakdown as I am the one who has to figure out how to pay everything and buy groceries. Does anyone out there have any experience with these options and their affect on their military career?

My name is Jon and last year I got married, one of the best things Ive done. We didnt have a ton of money to go on an elaborate honeymoon so we used my credit card (which i am not recommending to anyone these days), then I found out about some of her debt that she hadnt told me about (student loans), then we found out that we were going to have a baby, so we decided to buy a house so that we could start a family. It was all going fine, and really still is, but that we are getting nowhere with paying off our debts because we can only pay the minimum payments.

Do i contact the credit card companies myself? I owe $75,000 in credit card debt. I need them to work with me on cutting this in half. Will they do that?

My wife and I have about 30K in unsecured CC debt, among about 8 different credit cards. This does not count the 16K auto loan, nor the 30K in student loans. I think we should consolidate but I'm not sure what path to go down. We are currently trying to get out of a Condo in Chicago so we can be fully moved to PA right now she's there and I'm here. The mortgage on the condo is 208K I think we should consolidate the loans but I'm not sure where to start...

What kind of an attorney do I get if I bounced a check and I do not have the money to pay for the bounced check (extinuating circumstances) and the collection agency (telecheck)rep is threatening prosecution ?

How much money they will send to collect Agent and if don't pay they will sue to court?

This is the question I'm not trying to answer. My wife and I make a decent living, but we've mired ourselves so far in debt we can barely keep our head above water on a monthly basis. Besides the 30K in unsecured high interest credit card debt we've got two car loans one for 16K and one for 3K and my wife has 30K in student loans. Just new in here My question is the colection company they can colect your money after discontineus services with them My bussines had aceped credit card and the company prossesing don't have a contract with me (usualy they alway had to control client) But for some thing we cancel services by them because I was rip-off by them . After 2 years now they turn to colection colect some money I own them for 2 month services about $100. My question is: They can collect after 2 years and with out a contract from company and us ? My employer received an 'Order of Withholding' from Nebraska Student Loan Program / Windham Professionals yesterday. I'm just curious if there is any way to postpone the withholding or prevent it for the time being. More details/questions: 1) The amount is for slightly over $5,000 and I reside in the state of Arkansas. 2) The debtor address (my address) that is listed on the paperwork is an address that I've never resided at and in a state that I've not resided in since February 1998. Would this be a reason why I've not received any thing in the mail prior to this?

I was wondering how someone with a bankruptcy on their credit could get approved for a consolidation loan
