Does anyone know what the laws are in the state of alabama, concerning what a cosigner is responsible for if a vehicle that was included in a chapter 7. The borrower, is considering giving the vehicle back, and I want to know if I can be held responsible seeing that the vehicle has been charged off by chrysler. Can they make me keep the vehicle and responsible for the whole amount, can they sell the vehicle and hold ne responsible for the balance, or can they do either, since it has been written off?

After reading more postings, it seems there are a lot of similarities between USFastCash and UnitedCashLoans. Are they the same company operating under separate names? Anyone have any experiences that would attest to this theory?

OK-So I have a question about PDL's. Everyone here says to close your account, or put an ACH block on your account. What happens after that? When they start trying to collect, I can't have them calling my work or my references... I will lose my job! I've done a lot of research on this site, but nobody seems to say what will happen next... I have about 6 PDL's and I live in Minnesota. Please HELP!

I am a co-signer on a vehicle that was included in a chapter 7 bankruptcy. The vehicle was not re-affirmed and chrysler charged it off, with the borrower being allowed to keep the vehicle as long as the original payments were made. The borrower is considering letting chrysler have the vehicle back, what if anything can be done to me?

Yesterday was my first default and I have already heard from 5 PDL's. They sure don't like it when they find out you closed your account. Paycheck Today sent me to collections after two emails! I've been a wreck all day - I don't know if I can do this by myself. I might have to look into Langhorne Law or whatever their name is - I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
