Forgive me in advance if I am cross posting or being repetitive. I received a call from The law office of John Frye collecting on a debt for Atlantic Credit and Finance who bought the debt from Providian. I do not deny the validity of the debt, I know that it's correct. I want to be sure that I pay the correct party so that I don't have them contacting me in 6 months to collect on the part of the settlement I don't pay (they said they will settle). Can someone please advise me. I really want to get this taken care of ASAP. Thanks- Karen

i too received the email stating that i was refusing to repay a loan and that they were going to use check recovery to see if i had a bank account and if so they were going to take the money i live in nc and i have closed one account and opened another one except with the same bank i also have an account with my husband can they do this the account that i have with my husband is used for only paying the household bills and my other account is where my check is direct deposited its thru my job does anyone know if they can do this please let me know asap

Hi, I have a few revolving credit card accounts totaling $11,000 in debt. I am not delinquent or late on any of them and can afford to pay the minimum payment on each, however, as you can guess, it is really not leading me anywhere except month after month of 80% interest payments and 20% principal payments. Can i do anything with a 3rd party debt consolidation company in this situation, or do you have to be considered delinquent?
