Ok so i was served with a citaton in June of 2006 which i naivly ignored. SIGHS. Then in Oct of 2006, the default judgment was rendered against me. Now my question is this: Was i supposed to get something for this part of it? A summons? Something? ANything? I NEVER even knew about this until i went in for the Judgment Rule in May of 2007 and then went and got my case file. Not until then did i even realize they were awarded a default judgment.

Three weeks ago, I had 5 internet PDL's and could not afford to pay the fees any longer without defaulting on my mortgage, car loan, etc. I took the advice of everyone here and emailed, faxed, and mailed letters to each company letting them know that they were all in violation of SC laws and that I demanded a refund or PIF (depending on the amount I had overpaid them). I got two responses so far: Payday select did a PIF--they were really easy and nice to work with. Zip Cash is offering a settlement with no refund which I have to sign something and fax it back to them.

watch guys attorney hecker law firm, is for real, they will garnish your pay, lien your assets. thet do take people to court.

Well, I had 15 calls from them at work yesterday, before I even got to work. My coworker, who knows what's going on, kept hanging up on them and telling them I no longer worked there. By the time I got to work, she was fed up and it was only 9 a.m.! I answered and spoke to a barely English speaking man by the name of Andy Martin, who told me to call him after work so i could give him my new checking account info. I called after work and proceeded to tell Andy Martin that I do not owe GFS any more money, that I've already legally paid off my loan and Florida doesnt allow rollovers, etc.

We, as a community come together so well in our time of need, Recently our local news has been reporting on this sad news. The entire community is devasted by this lose. Got a voicemail tonight from someone claiming to be representing UC Burroughs (I think thats the spelling) in the 'litigation department' Long story short, supposedly if I don't call by friday the 'necessary paperwork' will be filed and 'good luck, you'll need it' I've never heard of this company before nor do I have any correspondance from them. The callback number I was given was 800-354-3217 Anyone know who this company REALLY is so I can the validation letter out? With the snotty voice message left for me I am NOT calling them back.
