I was notified by my employer that a rep from Allied-Interstate had contacted them asking me to get in contact with their rep. I believe this may be over a defaulted student loan, which due to financial situations I have not been able to make payments on. Simply put....the money is not there. It has been 12 years since I signed on to the college at which I incurred that debt....can they still harrass me over this?

Hello, I just received a call from Regional Arbitration Services asking payment for a cash advance loan that I took out in January 2004. I thought I have already settled this matter but I do not have records of it since this was close to 8 years ago. I asked for any documentation they have as proof that I do in fact owe this debt, but they told me they could not give it to me because it's evidence for the court. They threatened me saying that if I don't pay up, I will have to go to court.

I have 40,000 dollars in student loans which isnt to bad, i have one 9,000 private smart option student loan i took out with sallie mae before i gradauted. I make 700 dollars a month roughly and salle mae wants me to pay the 204.00 dollars a month for this one loan. With all my other REASONABLE loan payments and bills i have been paying them at least 50 dollars a month to show that i am trying. Well that isnt good enough for them apparently and i will be going into defualt with them soon which will lead me to go into a CA agency.

I just received a threatening arrest call regarding internet fraud about a payday loan in 2009...which I have no clue what they're talking about.! I do have to admit, that it is a little scary, and I have not ruled out identity theft. Some law firm contacted me but would not give me more info. I finally bit the bullet and started the EPP/Default process. This is what I've worked out so far. EZMoney: I revoked ACH and the payment "came back today" so she called to tell me they will let me make payments of whatever amont I can every payday until the balance (with no more interest) is paid off. AWESOME. Its about $1215. Check N Go: Takes 60 days to officially be in default and be able to speak with collections. I revoked my ACH and made a payment of $50 9/21. The small payment will be an "arrangment" so they don't make collections calls.

I sent an email about the PayDay loans in PA and received a email back stating I misunderstood the laws about my state. Then received the terms and conditions of the loan and the funny thing is they are stating that it was an one time payment and yet the took out 150 twice. What should I do?
