I got my discharge in the mail today, but I am a little confused over the fact that a 4-wheeler that was included in debts owed is still in my possession. My attorney told me when I filed if they don't get a court order before my discharge they can't come after it, just does not make sence to me why a creditor would not go after a $4,000 4-wheeler. I still have it and insure it, but don't have a title to it. What is going to happen to it? Any insight would be great.

After reading numerous posts on this forum, I have to conclude that Asset Acceptance is scum...plain and simple. My problem is: The scum is going after me! In October, 2005, I receive communication from National Arbitration Forum, outlining a claim from AA, saying that I owed for a credit card which I have zero recollection of having. I ignored the letter. In December, 2005, the arbitrator entered an award in favor of AA.

After filing my complaints this morning i called Westbury Ventures back to let them know who i had filed complaints with. The first woman i spoke to literally screamed at me, called me a thief, told me that if i closed down my bank account they would find my new one and get there money. i asked to speak to her supervisor who basicaly said the same thing..

Well, it has been quite a long time since I have posted on this site, and I have some good news. Awhile ago, before I even came to this site, I had quite a large amount of debt for a college student to handle only working part time. I think I had about 6 credit cards and I owed close to eight thousand dollars in credit card debt. Well, at the end of 2006, I graduated from college, and I got a new job with a bank. As of today...I have one small credit card I keep open in case of emergencies and paid all the rest of the cards off, except the big one with $3500 on it.

I have been paying a debt settlement company now for 17 months and they have settled one debt and now we have a summons that has been issued on a card of ours. I don't know what to do.... My company is closed tonight. I don't know what this means. Do we have to go to court? Is it best to just contact bankruptcy judge now? Can they stop this for us? Which bankruptcy lets you keep your vehicle and house you are paying on? I am scared to death.
