My battle with debt

18 years 9 months ago
I would not have a battle with debt had i not gotten married to a money grubbing lazy woman. I have a well paying job with the government and my wife decided to take advantage and try to get whatever she wanted well that blew up in my face i was broker than you wouldn't believe. I became broke basically because of my inability to say no to her which is consequently resulting in our immediate seperation and divorce i wish there was some other way, but i don't see one.

After checking my credit report....

18 years 9 months ago
i found 2 different Chase accounts charged off, which i posted here when i saw this. I've only ever had ONE Chase card that was charged off and turned over to CACH which has filed suit against me for the higher of the 2. ($9,400) Anyway after getting suggestions from you guys i disputed the higher of the Chase on my report and also disputed the CACH since they have refused to validate this claim. Today i went back to check my credit report and low and behold that HIGH chase account is gone!! The CACH is still there saying it's being disputed.

Loan Point USA debiting money. Should I file a complaint with AG?

18 years 9 months ago
Loan Point USA (or Geneva Roth) - Does anyone know where these people really are? i need to file a complaint with the AG somewhere. I have found them in Utah, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Delaware, Kansas and more. I can't file a complaint in every state. Loan Point USA people refused in writing to stop ACH withdrawals after I told them there was no money in the account due to an interruption in my direct deposit from work. They tried three time each payday for months even after I had the account on deposit only.

Almost there...

Back in 1998, I was first introduced to the wonderful world of credit. I had a VISA, some store credit cards and then I went and bought my first car. Everything was rosy and golden until my divorce in 2001 when as you would expect things began to fall apart. I moved across the country twice, racked up huge credit card and store card debt in the process and ended up doing a voluntary repossession on my car. Since then I've avoided most debt collectors by moving from place to place..and when one would call I'd just ask that they send something in writing.

My pdl companies are rolling over the amounts

18 years 9 months ago
Hello I have about 8 outstanding payday loans of these loans there are only 2 that are liscensed in the state of ca.the other loans have been rolling over the amounts and adding ridiculous fees to the loans. I have reached a point where the loans were eating up my entire paycheck. I have closed the account and opened a new one. I would like to work on consolidating these + my credit card debt so that i can be completely free of debt. My question is can someone supply me with ca laws in regards to payday loans and what my options are in getting rid of these fees.

worldwidecash games

18 years 9 months ago
I just renewed a loan with worldwidecashnow. I know it's stupid but I was desperate because I didn't want to bounce my electric bill. I have 2 checking accounts open at the moment and used the one I am going to close as soon as my husband's direct deposit gets switched over. I requested a written copy of the loan documents be faxed to me and they told me that all they can send is the ACH authorization and that they cannot provide in writing the loan amount ($200.00)or what was agreed to. I did the loan application over the phone because I was a previous customer.

Stupid legality issue

18 years 9 months ago
I live in North Carolina, and have about $3,000 in pdls. I have already paid probably $6,000 for them. I have around 10 of them. I have never defaulted on any of them, and have paid them without question. I am now reading that they are not legal in NC. Is that correct? If so, what can I do about it? Do I simply quit paying them? From what I have been reading, the people on this board know what they are talking about, and are very appreciated by the stupid people like me. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks, Bill
