i've had a bad credit since year 2001 and and i am trying to pay ot off and start a new credit. i don't have enough money to pay it all. so i am thinking thinking if i geta consolidation loan to pay those debts even though i don't have a house to use for it. all i can do is a monthly payment. if i do pay monthly with all of them, my salary won't be enough for them is there any possibilities for me to loan, where should i go? i am in military and stationed overseas.

If you DV ounce giving 30 days, they reply with inproper info so you DV again giving 15 days they dont respond are they in violation if they respond say in 60 days if so will this hold up if it goes to court as a counter suit to lower the bal. of what you owe? thanks

I received a writ for garnishment today from Palisades Collection represented by Wolpoff & Abramson. I called W&A and they were rude and refused to tell me anything other than it is an AT&T bill and that I was served to go to court. I was never served with a summons and this is an account with AT&T that I closed because my phone was stolen. I did not realize it for a while because I was out of town with the military so the bill was ran up to around 3000.00. Now they are going to garnish my checks and told me that the court felt I was properly served and I have to talk to the court.

I suggest any of you mad clients (looks like they are MANY) call the FTC Western Office, as I did, at 1-310-824-4343 and ask for Kenneth Abbe or Barbara Chun to complain to

My husband's ex-wife sent him papers that had been served to her apartment from midland credit management saying they were going for a judgement on an old Fingerhut account. It is to him, but has her address. He has never gotten anything from them, and has never lived at that address. What can we do about this?

I was unaware that I was being sued by Midland Funding (through Javitch, Block and Rathbone)as I never received the summons (apparently must have been at work or something). I started receiving letters from various lawyers offering to represent me in this suit, so I started investigating. I contacted JBR, spoke with the representing attorney and he agreed to work out payment arrangements with me. I made full payment on 2/12/07, but their dismissal letter to the courts didn't reach the judge in time and he gave them default judgement against me.

I am on workmans compensation.and have been since 9/20/06. Now I am filing for bankruptcy chapter 7. Any tips on my situation. i currently receive checks from wrkmans comp and now I found that I have a judgement against me. Help!!
