I am going to write here one final time and try to explain a little bit on my decision. You all deserve that much. I am reading that others are going to follow me and quit. My answer to that is NO!!!!! You all need to stay united and fight these people. I received some very threatening and detailed e-mails . I do not want to report what they said but needless to say maybe I have posted too much information on here. to find when the actual last activity took place on credit card accounts? I know some of mine are over 3 years old and i need to confirm. Also, does SOL apply to the state where you opened the account or where you are currently living? Thanks

Now that I have everyone's attention..... :) I think too much is happening too fast here. In that, I think we are letting all this affect us personally. It was once said "Never argue with a stupid person. The will just drag you down and kick your ass with experience." I see that around here. We are allowing a very small percentage of strangers to dictate who we are and what we think of ourselves. I thinks fins (or Tammy or Steelers or one of you chickies) said on another thread "we are all adults". That we are.

I only made $10,000 last year. Used up all my deferment with Access Group. Each month I called a customer service Rep at their servicer, Kentucky Higher Ed, and each time the rep told me the minimum payment to make...i did that for 5 months, then last month AccessG Group said I defaulted becuase I was short TWENTY SIX DOLLARS!

hi im new, pdls that have gone to the point where in 2 days i will be in default i havent worked since december and owe many other bills besides if i send them a letter telling them whats going on and that i do intend to pay when i start recieving income again when i dont know (spinal injury),will they work with me if they start calling me or my references will a cease calling letter really make them stop ive been paying pdls(8)for over a year now. any and all help is gratefully appreciated,thanks

I lost my job about a month and a half ago and at the same time began having to deal with figuring out how to pay the PDL I'd taken out over Christmas. It's been a nightmare dealing with all of this adding on top to the stress of finding a new job and paying other bills. Bass and Associates almost got my money with their scare tactics but luckily I googled them before I did anything else and came across this great website. I have a new job now and hope to be on my way to getting out of this whole mess soon.

Hello, I had a past due accnt with midland credit management of 1750. I have paid 1000 of that and have been monitoring my report. Since payment has been made, I show that there is a new accnt with midland, but it has the same accnt #, and now it shows on my report as 2 accnts, one for the original balance of 1750, and one for the current balance of 750. I called midland to ask why they reported again, and I was told that they only reported it once, and that it was the credit bureau that listed it again.
