i need something to pay off about four thousand dollars of debt fast like some type of loan

asset acceptance llc has purchased an old account from FirstUSABank, they have filed a civil suit against me in the state of Ohio. The account originally went into default on 03/27/98 with a balance of $500.00. I am being sued for a principal balance of $1092.11 plus interest of $721.93 and court costs. The suit was filed and subsequently served to an address I do not nor have ever lived at. This can clearly be proven through credit report, current bills, tax payments, etc.

This time is at work that I got served, and it pisses me off because I work in a "guarded-security" building and obviously they showed their credentials and were able to come through. Now please remember that my husband and I got served a little over a month ago by a company that bought our old accounts and they are suing us for $20,000 on 8 accounts. This one is for my specifically and they are claiming that I owe $500 on a "loan" or promisory note that I signed in November, 2001 for $1200. They attached a copy of the Promisory Note and the name of the company is R.D.L. Investments.

I had a credit card from Capital One for 3000 dollar limit,that went in collections.AlliedInterstate said I owe 4284.23 now MRS associates INC have they said I owe 3653.00 and would settle for 1900 dollars.How much do I really owe and is it good to settle now. :wink:

Two days ago my number was changed to a new unlisted number because when I began my account with my new phone company I requested that my number remain private and they mistakenly listed it. Anyway, I've since found out that my new number is listed under someone elses name and I have already begun recieving collectin calls for this person. The thing about collection agencies is that they insist that you are lieing to them if you tell them that this person never lived with you and they continue to call. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi Everyone. So about two months ago I purchased a Condo. Yesterday I got a letter in the mail addressed to someone with the same Last Name, but a different First name. I opened it, and saw that it was a letter from allied interstate saying I owed 146.XX to DirecTV. I called them and said that I just bought this place, and DirecTV isn't even available in this building, so is this just a coincidence that I got a letter for someone with the same last name? The person said then not to worry about it, but I wanted to verify what SSN# was on file to make sure that this wasn't meant for me.

I joined the forum last week. I filled out my information to have a credit counselor contact me and I even received the name of a company. I have not heard from them yet. how long does it take for them to contact you?

I owe over $30,000.00 in credit bills and are over extended.
