hopeless

6 months ago, I did a mistake of buying a new car, of the amount of $17,000, with loan from americredit, hoping to pay the amount of $396 per month. I lost my job because of lay off, for 4 months, so couldn't pay the monthly payment. Today, March 26th, 2007, at 2 am bank towed my car away. I called the bank in the morning, and according to them, for repossesing the car, i need to give $2100 to them, and then the monthly payment. Or. They are going to sell my car, and the fee, since the car already has 13k miles on it, I believe the bill thats going to come to me is about $8k - $9k.

Escaping US Debt by moving to Mexico

18 years 10 months ago
Many people are thinking of leaving the US as a result of job and home loss and moving to Mexico. From the responses on this site I am under the impression U.S. credit card debt would be hard to collect in Mexico? If you stay out of the country for 7 years the writeoffs fall off your credit report? Thanks
